It's now official, Holuhraun eruption is the largest effusive eruption in Iceland since Laki : lava covers more than 67 km2 & volume of 1 km3, the largest since Laki in 1783-84.
Signs of subglacial eruption are still there (see LanSat8 images of the South Western Cauldron)
