I didn’t know if you wanted to post it? It will probably start a whole wank about Stalia AND Dylan and tbqh the whole thing still makes me sick and I hate how Dylan still kind of had to defend it? Earlier before this he said he didn’t want it at all, something like it was the wrong place/time, that there was too much other stuff going on with Stiles etc.. but Jeff “persuaded” him and then he agreed but said no to a full sex scene. Ugh. I wish I could find that other interview, it remember it, I remember reading it but haven’t found it in years.
It's fine and thanks for the link. Yeah, there was another article earlier where he did say no, but I have no deets. And I knew he had to clean it up. After this the most he says about stalia is they're sweet. He knew it was trash.
Dollar Store Reading Glasses
Them: How'd you break your glasses?
Me: I put them in my pocket.
Them: Well, what did you expect?
MWW Artwork of the Day (12/27/16) Lamar Dodd (American, 1909–1996) Bargain Basement (1937) Oil on canvas, 46 x 55 in. Morris Museum of Art, Augusta GA
This painting, often hailed as one of Dodd's masterpieces, was painted during the artist's brief residency in Birmingham, Alabama. The painting depicts the bottom floor of Pizitz Department Store, formerly located on 20th Street. Dodd had in mind Silvia Pizitz, one of the daughters of the store's founder, when he painted the blonde woman on the far left.
The subject matter of this painting suggests the influence of American Scene painting on Dodd's work. American Scene artists, who worked in the 1920s and 1930s, depicted aspects of American life in a naturalistic and descriptive way. Dodd was one of Georgia's best known American Scene painters and a strong proponent for painting Southern subject matter.
This artist's work appears in the MWW exhibit/gallery: * We the People - Lawrence, Shahn & Other Artists of the 30s
I said I’d do it.
And I’m doing it.
