today I was woken up at 5 AM by a rampant storm (we've had these every day for two weeks straight :|) and since it was so sudden I wound up in a half-asleep half-awake limbo. when I heard a thunder clap the first thought that popped into my mind was "the dragon god of lightning must've come to watch over our house <3" and my brain genuinely believed that for a minute or so.
