More Half-life/Ultrakill AU stuff!! This time it's Barney or Barniel, my favorite angel failure.
"A Guardian Angel with 200 years of experience of watching over humanity. He was sent by Heaven to watch over Black Mesa and make sure they don't do anything stupid (he fails spectacularly at this). During the Resonance Cascade, he devotes his time to saving as many people as possible, eventually ending up with a certain Dr. Rosenberg and crew whom he gets out of Black Mesa before being called back to Heaven by The Council. The Council, very displeased with his failure, tries to have him executed, but a sudden invasion of Heaven by Hell cuts it short, letting Barniel get away. Now outcasted by his kin, Barniel lives alone for years until he finds some old friends."
