The raised beds around the porch are done... well, almost. The wood needs a coat of paint, soil needs to be applied, and seeds & seedlings planted. I was a bit worried about using wood chips as a filler as wood chips are notorious for nitrogen depletion, however, further research seems to indicate “fresh” wood chips are the culprit. Our wood chips are about two years old, so they “shouldn’t” be an issue.
