One shot for baron-pontmercy (modern AU):

You make quite the odd couple. You’re petite and sometimes jumpy; he’s well over 6 feet tall, and is about 300 pounds of pure muscle. His favorite thing to do (besides fighting, of course) is make you watch scary movies. So that’s why you’re spending your Monday night curled up in front of the TV watching classic horror movies.

“Is it over yet Bahorel?” You whimper into his broad shoulder.

 “Yes.” He chuckles. “You can come out now.” You peer up at him over the edge of your blanket.

“I’m never doing that again.”

“Fine, then we’ll just go to bed.”

 You shriek as he picks you up, tosses you over his shoulder and carries you up the stairs. When he arrives at your room, he tosses you onto the bed, while you half-yell, half- laugh at him. He throws himself down next to you, and kisses you soundly. Then you just lay there, content with each other’s company. You trace the tattoos running up and down his arms with your finger, making him shiver. He plays with your silky blonde hair, making you sign. No one ever sees this outgoing part of you, or this gentle, sweet part of him. But when you’re alone, all facades melt away. As you fall asleep, he whispers into your ear.

“I love you Raye.” You smile, and open you sleepy hazel eyes.

“I love you too.”

As you drift off you wonder how something so far from perfect can be perfection.
