Palm Beach to Barrenjoey Lighthouse Walk

Looking for something to do this weekend? Why not head to Palm Beach for a hike up to the Barrenjoey Lighthouse and some glorious views over Pittwater, Palm Beach and the Ocean.

Palm beach is the most northerly point of Sydney Suburbs, surrounded by water and glorious views making it a great spot for a hike & day trip.  Palm Beach is also the outdoor filming location for the soapie “Home and Away” and a great place to do some celebrity spotting over the summer months when the rich and famous are out and about.

Pack some beach gear and a picnic and head to Governor…

The Barrenjoey Lighthouse is located near Palm Beach near Ku-ring-Gai Chase National Park.  Access and parking on busy weekends can be an issue as we found that the car park was almost full on the Sunday we visited. Parking is not free and you must pay at the meter and display the ticket in your car or face a fine.

Palm Beach , Barrenjoey Lighthouse (11 December 2016)

“I love hikes, I just can’t handle it physically”

2-hr bus ride, a semi-breakfast by the beach, people watching (or stalking?), a mini ‘hike’ up to the lighthouse and endless chattering = your simple recipe for a Saturday well spent.
