Teaching in China

Teaching definitely has it's negatives and set backs. There are so many things I could complain about but why complain when one thing happens that just makes your day?

There is a Chinese teacher who I see every day. She always has on the stern Chinese teacher face. If I didn't know any better, some days I think she doesn't smile at all.

Today she was wearing a really cute yellow dress. I stopped to tell her how beautiful she looked. All I had to say was, "How are you?" and she said, "Ummm...I'm FINE!" She then laughed and did a little dance that just made my heart smile. It's funny how finally getting to use a little of another language can make you feel so important.

I am glad I could make her laugh since it hate seeing her serious face so much.
