v1's inability to talk has always been such a topic of thought for me i've found. i understand there's probably no canon reason for it but isn't it just something so amazing to really THINK on it
v1 was made to be a killer, a bloodthirsty robot with no motivation other than to eliminate. its creators built it to be a "supreme machine", the perfect weapon if you will, and that's exactly why it can't talk. if v1 could talk, it could complain. it could cry out when it's hurt, it could cry out for the people it hurts. but a good weapon shouldn't weep. a good weapon shouldn't voice its pain. it should just do. it should just fight and fight and fight, because that's its job, isn't it? built to be a perfect little weapon, the destroyer of man.
v1 was made in and for suffering, yet it can't voice its own. it never has, it never will.
