“Oh, a fellow military surgeon!” And a famous one, to boot. Doctor Barry was before her time, but thanks to him things were a lot better in the medical field, especially out in the trenches. In fact...there was a sparkle in her eyes as she took the other’s hands and shook it enthusiastically. “It’s an honour to make your acquaintance, actually!” Never mind the controversies in his life, Dr James Barry was a hero to someone like Watson. Plus, after living with Sherlock for a good amount of years, one gets used to people with ‘controversial’ slapped on them.

❝ Then honestly I’m fine, with keeping my trust in you. ❞ Merlyn looks with fierce eyes toward the other servant. Having found their presence to be oft needed and rewarding. Perhaps her words were affirmation toward her master, though she felt it needed to be shared between the two servants. As they would soon head forth into the singularity wherein they would ravage in a confrontation needing a firm exchange in trust.

He had been bored beyond belief that day and he never made good decisions when he was bored. And, in all honesty, poking the berserker had seemed like a good idea at the time. For a Berserker-class, he looked far less intimidating, definitely not the picture of madness he had in his head. Also, as a medic, he probably had plenty of cool stuff around the younger lancer could mess with.
Never ever in his life, he had been so wrong in judging a book by its cover.
It took him a couple valuable seconds that he could have spent getting the hell out of that room to process the berserker’s words.
“A what?!”
Quickly, images of horrible medical procedures during the centuries passed through his eyes. Not thinking it twice, the young man stood up, making the chair he had been sitting on fall. “Woah, hold your horses, buddy! And keep that hand away from that kit! Did you just spontaneously forgot that we’re freaking spirits? I can’t get sick or anything. Save it for the humans, you will just be wasting your time with me.”

"Oh, so the uncouth cur decides to show his face once more." Squints at protopup.
Cú didn’t bother waiting for the Berserker to give him permission to walk in. He already knew that the moment he stepped inside that room, the other probably already had a list of complaints about his behavior and, uhhh, the unfortunate events of the last time he walked inside this very room. But, hey, at least, everything was repaired and Barry wasn’t going Berserker on him. That had to be an improvement! That the young warrior was about to throw down the drain because of his inability to shut up. “Well, I was told that a cute and fluffy rabbit had recently reintegrated into the medical department so, of course, I came to see for myself.” A lie. A horrendous and tragic lie.
The warrior took a seat in front of the Berserker’s desk, crossed his arms and even went with manspreading (as one of his many foster fathers had told him to do if he needed to show defiance and dominance without murdering anyone). “Unluckily, it just turned out to be just one wild rabbit with rabies. So we kind of are in the same boat here, huh?”
"Lady Sajyou, it would not bode well for you to overwork yourself. Take a break and have some snacks." He holds a delicate array of fruits, meticulously sliced.
A pause, the woman glances up from her place on the floor, old tomes, some of her father’s old notes, still as pristine as the day he wrote them, sprawled across a small area, a little moat so no one will bother her. And her eyes light up at the fruit, but work is much more important given the circumstances.
“Ayaka is fine, and I couldn’t possibly there’s so much to do.” And as if on cue, her stomach rumbles.
“Perhaps a two-minute break won’t kill me.” She shuffled the papers to the side, standing up sheepishly.
