Engines at the Bend by baltev1
Yesterday I mentioned a bridge that’s a popular spot for photographing the Harvey House (Casa del Desierto) in Barstow, California. That bridge, the First Avenue Bridge, is visible in this short 45-second video I took in 2011. It turns out that the bridge, which was built in 1930, has been deemed structurally inadequate and will be removed when a new bridge is built next year. More here and here.

once i was in a gas station in barstow and as i was leaving a lady came up to the cashier behind me with v8 juice and asked the cashier if he knew "if it's spicy"
I was talking to zebrabelly about the huge In-N-Out in Barstow today, and I told her I knew I had a photo of it somewhere on Flickr...et voilà.
