so anyway, before I completely forget about the idea and delegate it to rot in the attic, how about an additive synth for which each consituent sine wave's amplitude is defined with a formula like say a(n,t)=exp(-t)/n , and an analogous formula for phase offsets like p(n,t)=-1^n, which would create a plucked sawtooth? I'm not sure how difficult embedding a math interpreter into a C++ program would be, though I'm sure there already exist libraries for exactly that

well first of all, I’m using Ruby and some sort of super low-level specialized language. 

it might be possible to implement just that function, though i dont have the drive to figure it out atm...

interestingly, it’s easier to create functions that draw a waveform than it is to create something that combines waveforms (or harmonics in this case)

im actually unironically enjoying sonic 06 bc it reminds me of the good ol sonic days with yknow actually nice ost and moves that actually feel necessary and also sonic’s old voice actor etc im very spiteful about sonic lost world and other recent games ok

it has its bugs and undeveloped tidbits but im actually not complaining
