I know everyone has their “sexualites” and “preferences” all I’m saying is that I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t find Michael Nesmith at least a little hot

Sara Ackerman returns to the blog with another World War II story based in Hawaii with Radar Girls The third book I’ve read from this author, all have been based in Hawaii during World War II, and are based in truth, and each was such a wonderful read and full of ordinary people who experienced and performed extraordinary deeds. And this book is no exception. After Pearl Harbor, the country…

Emotion-based Drabble
Roxas sat on his bed, huddled up with his head in his hands. Why was everything so difficult? Why did his own brain betray him? He couldn't accept something so simple, so silly...Perhaps his feelings were based in jealousy? It would make sense.
It hurt. His heart hurt. He couldn't understand why. It was all so confusing, and since he couldn't pinpoint the reason, he couldn't figure out how to fix the problem. It was so frustrating! Never had he had such a problem, such an intangible force screwing with his life. It was irritating him, he couldn't stop thinking about it.
They had already talked about it, and right afterward, he had felt better. Maybe he was right, maybe he was over-thinking things...It seemed the more he saw, the more he heard, the more the feeling of worry, that feeling of tightness and uncertainty came back.
What was he supposed to do? Why did he feel this way? He didn't understand...Why did it make his heart hurt, this problem? Was it even a problem, or did the problem lie with him? If it did, how could he fix it?
The blond curled up further, growling quietly, frustrated, confused. Circles, circles, circles. No beginning, no end. No stop, no solution. Endless. Confusing.

What I Did This Weekend
YO DUDES! This weekend was off the hook! On Friday, after work I went to the exciting suburb of North St. Paul for a baby shower with old coworkers, including @pregnantcoworker and @otherteachers. You know, I'm not always into baby showers but the host said she was sorry, but she didn't plan any games and we were all THANK GOD!! So we ate and talked about unions and babies and cooed at presents and if we were live tweeting there probably would have been something like this:
5:47: I'm at a baby shower and OMG miniature Nike sweatsuits SO ADORBS!
The cheesecake was delicious, by the way. Later I went home and stared at the tubes for a while until @myboyfriend came over and we drank beer and watched The Social Network. That movie was INTENSE, you know what I mean?! I saw a lot of people in it, like @JesseEisenberg and @JTimberlake. None of them recognized me. We both enjoyed it, though the boy disliked the ending.
I thought of tweeting this: Just watched the Social Network and decided that the theme is: if you date someone named Erica it will change your life.
Before we went to bed I checked my ipod and read tweets of people partying and was like, man, sleeping at a reasonable hour is RAD!
After my low-key night Friday I was like, okay SATURDAY are you ready to PARTY?! I think Saturday laughed at me but I didn't hear it because I was too busy watching the most amazing video ever. About partying, no less. Totally appropriate.
I rolled up to the Turf Club a little after ten. I was heading to the Fleetwood Mac cover party and man was it crazy in there! Okay, no, that's not totally true. I met up with @Deb and @Sara and got a Bell's and the dude said it was $5.50 and I was all, where am I?! Minneapolis? A lot of awesome ladies were dressed all Stevie Nicks like. I saw some people I know, like @Jonathon and @Tom and @abunchofpeopleIalwaysrecognizeattheturfclub.
So yeah, we hung out and and I'd finish this but basically, I got bored writing about my own weekend and I will never do this again.
