A heavy cough heaved through the Woman, signature red hair encrusted with her own blood, mud and other dirt caused it to be dull, no longer reflecting the light of the sun, if there were any.
A dim room, lit by a single candle in the far corner is where she was, and had been for some time, the days blurring in the mind of the Woman as her head sagged on to her almost bare chest, a white bra and panties all that protected her from the cold demacian evening.
Bruised and broken arms were all that held the Woman from the ground, chained to the wall behind her, legs having giveway days/months/years ago, no longer capable of holding her weight.
Blue orbs closed tightly, dried blood in her eyebrow, and on her forehead. Nose broken in 2 places, had long ago stopped bleeding, trails of dried blood leading from her nostrils to the end of her chin, where the trails ended, a pool of blood beneath her, being their final destination.
It had been ages since they had come back, easily 6 or 7 days, the rumble from her stomach the telltale signs of this. She had been fed stale bread and water for as long as she could remember, only just sustaining her but not enough for her weight to not change, skin would tighten over her chest, ribs now clearly visible beneath her almost see through skin.
The cough had caused her to wince, in turn making her hurt even more.
A can rattled accross the floor from the door, as it creaked open slowly, blue orbs squinted open at the gap as a familiar but distant face peaking through the gap, before their eyes hovered over the Captain’s broken form.
It wasn’t real.
She had hallucinated Vani saving her from this before, the Woman long past having hope of living, let alone seeing Vani again.
“Leave me, Vision. Let me die in peace.”
Came the croak, as her head lulled back to her chest, awaiting the ever approaching arrival of her demise.
