Homer: I call the basement

I work in an old Boston brownstone converted into offices for a historical church on the Freedom Trail. Although our house isn't abandoned, the basement apartment certainly is. It was once used as the living quarters for servants and an immigrant family, I think, before King's Chapel purchased it in the early 19th century. I don't know if this apartment has ever been used since; you can see the remnants of what once was everywhere.
