Long ago, in a far away kingdom, Rin the damsel in not so much distress, laid in the labyrinth of a garden. He waited for his knight in not so shining armour. In the dead of night, when no one was around, the secret lovers met for a brief hour before returning to their roles of power in the kingdom. 

That particular warm summer night, he patiently hummed to himself and plucked at flower petals. He had been expecting his knight for quite some time, but the other had still not made an appearance. 

The grass tickled his neck and the hot air made his hair stick to the back of his neck. It was a weary existence to have to wait to see his love until no one could spot them. He gave a long, heavy sigh and threw one arm over his eyes, to cover them from the overly bright moon.

Sousuke gripped his shoulder, taking in deep breaths and letting them out, fighting back tears of agony. "Why are you acting up now?" he growled through clenched teeth, the back of his head hitting the tiled wall of the shower.

He closed his eyes and tried to concentrate on the water that was hitting him from above. "If this keeps up... I'll have to drop out of the relay."

"Okay." Rin followed Ai out the door and onto the street. "It's no problem." He rubbed he back of his neck awkwardly. "So....How's your day been?" The shark mentally slapped himself for his poor conversation starter.
