If this is heaven, take me home || Self-Para
"Where the hell am I?" Alex tried to sit up, struggling to sit up before realizing where he was. A long, white room. No not a room, a hallway. He couldn't remember anything from before he woke up - was this a dream? what happened? how long had Alex been out? Thoughts floated around his head before someone peaked their head in the door. He was in the hospital. They were going to keep him there. Voices kept on talking but their voices just slid past Alex's mind. "Closed ward," they seemed to be saying. "Just rest, no visitors. Not even family." As sluggish as Alex felt, it took him several moments to realize what they were talking about him. And it took several more seconds for him to open his eyes again (they had drooped shut). "He's only nineteen, what about his parents?" A voice asked. "We don't know, they'll probably not come all the way from Greece. That's what the girl said." What girl? "Poor kid…" He'd be alone for weeks. There was no one to come and rescue him now. No one. Alex was completely alone. And that's when Alex's scream pierced the air.
