Violet had a hard time getting along with his own baby. He had no idea how non-PlantSim children work, especially since his kind never sprouts in such a small and vulnerable state. Sim babies had so many basic needs to maintain and they paid back with stinky diapers and milk-pukes all over the "mom's" shirt.

At least he wasn't alone with this. Gordon might've been just as inexperienced as he was, but together they were ready to take on this challenge and build a happy little family that will totally not stand out.

On this note, the short and cozy Oldie week ends. Next time it's back to Veronaville and the Summerdreams.

On Sunday, Violet finally returned to work for the last time that week. Gordon was on parenting duty and even though he was extremely stressed about anything going wrong, he was still really happy he agreed to build a family with Violet.

Jessica interrupted his cozy fatherly time by showing up all of a sudden and insisting on reclaiming her loot.

Gordon: Oh, that. Sorry, it's gone already.

Jessica: What do you MEAN it's gone? Gordon, you had one job!

Gordon: My JOB has nothing to do with being a security for the things you steal! How was I supposed to know you stole it from someone who knows us?

Jessica: Damn it, I've done my research and that thing is worth thousands! I was going to sell this valuable piece of loot and finally happily retire after dealing with that old hag in Strangetown! And you just gave it all away!

Gordon knew messing with Jessica wasn't a good idea and she would not let go of losing a lot of money so easily. He still told her leave and not mix him up in her schemes ever again.

Last time Gordon was around a baby back when little Beau Broke was born and Skip threw a little party to show him off to his friends. He was a teenager himself back then and wasn't particularly interested in admiring a bald baby in a crib. Now that he held his own son for the first time, he could understand why Skip wanted to announce his boys to the whole neighbourhood.

Violet didn't realize carrying a baby would be so exhausting and for the first time really needed to rest while Gordon was taking care of Basil. It was the good kind of tired, though.

Even though they had Violet's old room dedicated for the nursery, they agreed to move Basil to their bedroom at least until he grows into a toddler and needs more space. They wanted to stay together as a cozy and weird little family.

Gordon's big lifetime wish was to master at least 5 special skills and since old Herb's little toy making workbench was still out there in the garage, he figured it might be a good start. Especially with the child on the way.

He was also maintaining the house from the technical side and repairing any broken appliances. He wasn't aware of his husband's interest in tinkering and Violet didn't want to ruin his fun by explaining that he already knows how to fix things thanks to Herb.

Cozy Saturday evening was abruptly interrupted by Violet going into labour and sending his husband into instant panic mode. They both realized how unprepared they were for this kind of event.

Thankfully, everything went well and a plump baby boy was born. Gordon still couldn't believe such a thing is possible, but he actually had a son and he seemed to take mostly after him. Violet picked the name Basil and Gordon had no objections.
