This time is about the other icon itself: Basil of Baker Street
These are a mix of hc about his life and BasilxReader

▲ During the events of the movie he is 27
▲ He's bisexual, with male preference
▲ Even with his preference he's mostly attracted to personalities, so if you identify as a female fear not, you still have a chance.
▲ Was born wealthy and has two brothers. Basil doesn't really get along with his younger brother and had many fights and dissagrements as kids, when they grew up it was mostly that they got exasperated with each other. His older brother is not very close to either of them, especially now that he's married.
▲ He attended university and his favorite subject was chemestry and theater.
▲ He finds the aristrocatic life incredible dull, and most of his social interactions are within this group, which is why he doesn't find many people that he deems interesting and therefore feel attracted to them.
▲ Even if he's percived as someone with an eccentric (and sometimes odd) personality in the high society, many woman have express interest in him, some write him letters but he never responds or even open them.
▲ As secretive as he can be about his personal life, his emotions are authentic. What I mean by this? Well...
▲...As opposite to Shelock Holmes who took great care to have his heart under control, Basil does allow to feel here and there. Even tho he still has trouble expressing his emotions and navigate them he's not actively trying to be emotionless.
▲ And of course, he doesn't really realize when he has feelings for someone.
▲ Basil values a kind heart and, if wit and intelligence turns him on, kindness melts him. At first he might be dismissive but secretly admire how good a person can be. He has seem some nasty stuff during his hunts for criminals so a warm personality is very suitable.
