you know what I realized? (and this could mean nothing, but) when I was a teen, I had stomach issues so bad that I would genuinely be bed-ridden and I would have to call off of work sometimes. if not that, i was probably in pain the majority of the day, and going to the restroom, even if just to rest from working while in pain, a LOT. I would say this period lasted probably from 16 to 18 or 19 l, and got a lot better since.
This is relevant, because 4 years later.... I'm finding im having tummy troubles a lot again. For 4 years, I marveled at how little in comparison I was in pain, how little in comparison I feared types of food, how "all of a sudden" I was doing better. and now, 4 YEARS LATER, it's suddenly very bad again.
Did you guess the point of the post yet?
When I was 15, Trump took office. I endured terrible reactions to foods all of the time. I "all of a sudden" didnt have terrible reactions to food. He was not in office. This year, hardly an 8th through his second term, where there are weekly headlines of food recalls due to policies he made to save some billionares some small percentage of money at the expense of millions of citizen's health, I am all of a sudden experiencing that daily pain and subconscious food aversion all over again.
Food safety laws were there for a fucking reason.
