when I started shipping it if I did: I always shipped it, but reading @laurellanceisalive ‘s fics and following more Merlance-active folks here made me super super highkey for them and I hate it because i am in PAIN 

my thoughts: they were just? what a tragic ship like, he SAVED HER. He died to save her, because Tommy Merlyn loved and believed in Laurel Lance and I’m moving on before I get too sad

What makes me happy about them: they loved each other so much and were so open and honest and what a well functioning like wow what a great couple 

What makes me sad about them: there’s TOO MUCH PAIN THEY’RE BOTH DEAD AND ?? i guess I’ll tell myself they’re together now though

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Laurel: NYSSSSAAAAAAAAAA OR CISSCOOOOOOOOO. And Cisco/Laurel/Lisa. And after a certain gifset, Patty. And her vigilante teacher (Ted?). Yeah :D Tommy: mm I crackship him with Felicity, that was really it. Maybe he and Eddie can get together in the afterlife and bond over being amazing human beings who were heroes. 

My happily ever after for them: Being alive and safe and happy and far away from Star City and all its nonsense. c: 

who is the big spoon/little spoon: Tommy is big spoon, Laurel is little spoon, BUT if Tommy needs to be little spoon, they’ll absolutely switch. 

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: They love cuddling on her couch under the blankets, and Laurel will cuddle into Tommy’s chest and they’ll watch an old movie that they’re barely paying attention to, and they’re eating popcorn and just being lovely together. <3

Who loves rainy days. I think they both do, tbh, but Kendra just a little bit more. Ray enjoys going outside more and enjoying the rain (unless he is sick, in which case he’s cuddled up internally cursing it and chugging cold medicine), whereas Kendra likes to stay inside and listen to the sound, because it calms her. 

Who loves to sit inside under a warm blanket and sip tea and just listen to the sound of the rain on the window or the roof. Ah well it seems like I answered prematurely on the first one LOL it is 100% Kendra. She finds it super soothing and while they’re stuck in the 50s and Kendra doesn’t really want to deal with people at the moment, she likes it when it rains, because in their town, when it’s sunny everyone’s outside and she’s constantly reminded of the time period, but when it rains, people don’t really do much. It’s pretty much quiet, so Kendra likes curling up and pretending that she’s back home and that this is a normal day where absolutely nothing has changed. 

Who is basically a big cat and hates getting wet. Hm, I don’t know if either of them hate it particularly, but Kendra will always be under her umbrella because she doesn’t want to get her hair wet, and if you get Ray out in the rain too long he’ll end up disliking it. He’ll be happy when he’s absolutely being a child and playing in the rain or splashing in puddles, but the second he realizes he’s freezing he’ll huddle up under Kendra’s umbrella (and she has to hold up her umbrella over the both of their heads because Ray is too busy warming himself up at first to remember to hold it for her since she’s a little shorter, so it keeps bumping Ray’s head a little). 

Who has the super cute umbrella. Kendra and Ray totally bought it for her because he thought it was so her. And it is one of these parasol folding umbrellas (except not as expensive as the one i linked to jesus christ ray’s rich but he’s not gonna do that). 

Who showed up with an umbrella and saved the other and who was trapped and unprepared. KENDRA because I have decided that Ray keeps getting sick in the rain and it Concerns Kendra so the next time Ray is a little bit sick, he calls her and tells her he forgot his umbrella and she literally flies over there and helps him out (and now I have an image of her in her Hawkgirl outfit and her cute umbrella, flying Ray back to the Waverider). 

Who gets sick from being out in the rain too long. LOLL I think I’ve officially decided it’s Ray, and he hates himself afterwards every time but he Keeps. On. Doing. It. 

Who has the secret recipe for the perfect chicken noodle soup to cure the sniffles. Ray SAYS he has the best chicken noodle soup recipe, but he is not a 4,000 year old demigoddess who has cooked and eaten quite possibly every meal in the world. Kendra has perfected a soup recipe (she claims it took her 1,000 years to perfect, give or take), and it is her official cure for every sniffle. Ray is admittedly amazed, and this is probably also why he gets better so quickly and immediately forgets/chooses to ignore that the rain got him sick the next time it rains. 

Who yells obscenities at the car that just drove by and splashed them with a huge puddle. Ray is way too nice to scream obscenities, so he’ll be a little miffed, but god help the person who splashes Kendra (especially if she’s already a bit angry) because they will hear her screaming for miles. Kendra’s a sweetie pie, of course, but do not splash her. Ever. One particularly rude person splashed her in the 50s and Ray had to physically restrain Kendra from releasing her Hawk form and chasing the guy down. 

Who hides in the other’s coat. KENDRA HIDING IN RAY’S COAT oh my gosh how cute they both forget their umbrellas and they have to hurry back to the Waverider so poor Ray doesn’t have a hood but he shields Kendra from the rain and practically drapes his coat over her head and they both run back to the ship and they’re just giggling and shrieking the whole way (and listen Kendra finally gives up because the rain is going through Ray’s wool coat so she pulls him away and kisses him in the rain). 

Who forces their coat on the other because they forgot it and doesn’t care that they’re getting wet. shoot i literally just wrote it but Ray LOL it’s Ray he will be sitting there sniffling at the Waverider afterwards but he’ll be happily eating Kendra’s soup and say “it was worth it all for your delicious soup” and then add something about their kiss as well and shoot her a smile and Kendra would just smile back because they are cuties. 

Who grabs the other’s hand and drags them out into the rain because it came on so suddenly and they’re going to get soaked anyway, to dance and laugh and be silly and eventually steal a long kiss. why do i keep doing this ahaha it’s Kendra but Ray is a willing participant because he is already soaked and he’s glad that he’s spending time with her. And Kendra probably says something like “You know, I inspired ‘Singin’ in the Rain’” and Ray’s eyes jump out of his head and he’s super impressed until Kendra laughs and says she wasn’t in the US back then (the first time), but that she does know the entire dance. And the two are just singing and dancing in the middle of the damn street and when they come back together Ray tells Kendra that she’s amazing and she kisses him right in the middle of the road. It’s totally worth her wet hair, and Leonard’s sassy “glad to see you two could make it” when they came back to the Waverider. 

Who takes the initiative and drags the other home to force dry clothes and hot cocoa on them. Kendra immediately sits Ray down because he’s started sneezing and she knows that usually means he’s going to end up with a cold. He grabs the blanket and Gideon makes the hot cocoa, while Kendra works on the soup (the other Legends aren’t sick but Jax comes in moaning about how sick he is and begs for a bowl, and what do you know, Stein comes in a little afterwards and claims that due to their link he’s feeling the effects too). 

Who finds the towel to dry the other’s hair. Besides this one exception, Kendra usually doesn’t let her hair get wet, and I am sticking with this. Kendra doesn’t even really dry Ray’s hair for him lol, she usually just gets a towel from the Fabrication Room and tosses it to him (he’s a big boy he could do it himself) but if he gives her a puppy dog face she might give in. Sometimes. (However, when Rip finally gets fed up of their cute couple moments in the middle of the Waverider, he lets them know that there in the Waverider’s shower, there’s a feature where Gideon will just air dry you if needed. Ray and Kendra continue being cute in front of him just to mess with Rip.)
