New Purpose

⊰ ☥ ⊱——— Since Ra left everything seemed mellow and dull--sad to say Ra kept the gods together and help gave them find a purpose but now that he was gone what did they have? Their reign as gods has dwelled down over the years and only a select few were still worshiped today but never like before--nothing was like before. Even Apep the giant serpent that wished to eat the sun and destroy Ra felt at lost, Set hasn't heard from him in a while since his fight with him but when Ra left Set half expected Apep to take advantage and gobble up the sun as he's been planing for eons. It was sorta surprising when he didn't, the snake just continued to hide in darkness as he always has.
Some of the others learned to make it through then of course the was the rest that felt utter helpless and lost without him. Set wasn't any of those tho, he didn't need someone to guide him or give him purpose, he never had or probably never will tho with Ra gone things just didn't seem as fun as they used to be. Set ignored all the rest that sat around crying out for the sun god to return to them and pondered on the cat goddess Bastet, she was loyal to the sun god--more then the rest and it made Set wonder on how his lack of presence was affecting her now that he was gone. He always sorta liked her--she was a warrior and his partner in battling the giant serpent, she was much like a friend to him if he had any besides his minions of course (if you count minions friends that is). Set continued to head to Bast's when he finally caught sight of her he playfully headed closer to her with the biggest grin on his face as usual. "You look down precious kitten, shall I fetch you a ball of yawn? Or would you prefer some milk instead?"
