                      “ i wouldn’t exactly put it like that. ”  he’s excused himself from the meeting by saying it was a family emergency. his clients were just going to have to accept that. besides, his partner could handle them. this                bastien was more important.  “ but you called so ... yes, i’m here. ”  brief pause, reuben vaguely motions towards his brother.  “ why are you on the floor. it’s filthy. get up. ”

                                she comes up behind where he’s sitting, wrapping her arms gently around bastien. chin resting on top of his head. “ you’re so busy lately, i’m afraid you’re turning into a second me. ” she chuckles quietly. “ what are you working on, love ? tell me about it. i feel like we haven’t talked in forever. ”

@bastienprice sent:  He moves his arms further around her, pulling her close beside him. There's a moment where he seems like he wants to say something but he can't quite. After a moment he tries again and speaks in a low soft voice. "What if... I asked you to marry me?" 𝙰𝚂𝙺𝙱𝙾𝚇.  ://  𝚄𝙽𝙿𝚁𝙾𝙼𝙿𝚃𝙴𝙳.

HE HAD CHANGED HER LIFE,   turned it around and changed it for the better.   She’d never had the guts to get out,  had never even  THOUGHT  of leaving that part of her life behind,   to pursue something  BETTER.   Truthfully,  it might have been because she never thought she  DESERVED ANY BETTER.   But things had changed  --  he had made her question her life,  her views,   AND SHE LIKED IT.   Never had she thought she would meet someone like him,  nor that he would ever look to her side.   BUT LIFE KEPT SURPRISING HER.  ...  Lips parted a little at the question,  and though it wasn’t quite a proposal,  it still made her heart  FLUTTER.   Oceanic hues searched his face for any hint of this being a  DREAM,  she could not believe her own ears.   ❝  Are you... Are you sure?  ❞   Her life had never been easy,  Bianca had always had to FIGHT for everything.

                THE        STORM        HAD        COME        FROM        NOWHERE        ,                one        moment        they        were        enjoying        the        heat        from        the        sun        and        the        next        they        were        huddled        beneath        a        bus        shelter    ,        in        hopes        of        staying        dry.            they        couldn't        stay        there        forever        though        and        as        the        minutes        ticked        by    ,        stiles        felt        the        cold        more        and        more.            "            we        could        just        make        a        run        for        it            ?            "            he        suggests    ,        despite        knowing        the        car        was        at        least        three        blocks        away        and        they        would        be        drenched        by        the        time        they        reached        it.                but        bastien        had        another        idea        and        soon        enough    ,        with        a        little        concentration        and        a        flick        of        his        wrist        there's        an        umberella        in        his        hand.            was        it        really        considered        stealing        if        he        never        actually        entered        the        store            ?            bastien        smiles        and        opens        up        the        umberella    ,        holding        it        high        and        stepping        under        it.            "            there's        room        for        two    ,        you        know.        "            he        says        before        stiles        grins        and        joins        him.        though        it's        possible        he        may        have        misunderstood        the        gesture        as        when        he        does    ,        he        immediately        wraps        his        arms        around        the        other        man        and        huddles        close.            perhaps        too        close.

                      “ what did he say to you  ?  ”  she asked, urgently whispered as she pulls him to the side to get just a little more privacy.  “ i did NOT leave someone for you. i would not do that. you know me. ”  to be fair, she does sound a little offended by the mere suggestion she would. after taking a big sip of her wine, she exhaled a deep sigh.  “ we were ... we were briefly engaged. ”

                          a night out - away from lucas - is desperately needed. so far, she’s just glad her brother didn’t plan a party in their apartment without them knowing. he’s already been gone for an hour and she hopes he stays out until morning. coming out of the bathroom in her costume, she flashes bastien a smile - power posing. “ ready when you are. ”

even after she had left that part of her life behind her, she was still wanted for crimes all over the world. even after she had burned all her bridges, all ties, it did not change the fact that she had lived a decade of crime.  but that did not mean she wasn’t going to try - that was the whole point of getting out. she was going to try the whole settling down thing.
