Turn your smartphone or tablet into an active bat detector, and conduct citizen science from the palm of your hand.
I own an older model of this that I use to listen on my bats as they fly around overheard. If you have the money (it's almost $200 for one of these things), totally worth getting.
Mine is ten years old and still works pretty good considering how old it is (although it is definitely getting close to time to replace it, I can tell).
