What would you call the breaking point in Vasily's and Nikolai's relationship? They were friends when they were little and then not anymore ...

              I  DON’T      play  vasily  ,  so  this  should  be  taken  really  with  a  grain  of  salt .  because  i      do      think  the  crack  in  their  relationship  kinda  started  on  vasily's  end .  i  think ,  despite  being  the  second  born ,  nikolai  is      CHARMING     ,  well - spoken ,  and  clever .  it's  a  lot  easier  for  people  to      like      him ,  and  i  think  noticing      THAT     ,  that  maybe  they  even  like  his  brother      more      than  him ,  that  that  starts  to  take  its  toll  on  vasily  and  everything  kind  of  starts  spiraling  from  there .  i  honestly  don't  know  if  vasily  actually  tried  to  poison  kolya ,  but  nikolai  certainly  thinks  so .  and  from  there ,  that  strained  resentful  relationship ,  coupled  with  vasily's  terrible  practice  at  actually      BEING      crown  prince ,  at  not really  giving  a  shit  about  ravka  or  what  it  would  mean  to  be  king ,  really  kicked  up  nikolai's  resentment  that      vasily      is  crown  prince ,  and  not  him .  he  loves  his  brother ,  very  much .  but  he  also  kind  of  hates  him  too .

Thomas smiled at the young prodigy doctor in front of him, reclining in his office chair as both of them took a much needed break from the buzz of the operating room. There have only been a few minor cases until now. The classic car accident resulting in a few broken bones that needed extensive repairing, the odd sudden rupture of an appendix. Nothing seemed serious anymore after the horrors of the crisis but it wasn't beyond him to be the witness of a difficult patient today. There were reports of stray E-54 units roaming the outskirts of Munich -- but he was prepared for the worst of the worst.

That’s…a horrifying analogy. She didn’t like that one bit. Nope. No, sir. No serial killer metaphors for her, thanks.

Phrased like that, Angela was considering focusing solely on micro-robotics rather than…this.

Surgery was more like a puzzle than an art, in her opinion. Like sudoku but with someone’s life and you have to do it with permanent marker…on international television. Actually, never mind, that wasn’t too much better. Angela scribbled a few closing notes to herself about anything new she picked up from him, desperately pretending that the comment didn’t bother her.

“Um, any news about the fringe Null Sector groups?” She tried to change the subject. It was this or risk suffering another morbid comment. Surely he wasn’t an actual serial killer. It had to be the environment. It warped everyone’s sense of humor, it seemed.

College Modern Au

Lark Trevelyan is majoring in dance, wanting to become a world renown dancer, she studies dance in hopes of achieving her dream. While the school is known to only admit the best of the best or more accurately, the richest of the rich, she had gotten in on a scholarship.

She earns a modest income working as a waitress at the local Waffle House.

There was a tradition where the wealthy would allow one common person to live with them in the lavish apartments that the school owned. Lark could not afford her own apartment and reluctantly agreed to live among the wealthy. However, to her shock, she would actually be living with royalty. It had been the Lantsov house that was chosen to house the commoner this year.

There, she met two princes; brothers, Vasily Lantsov and Nikolai Lanstov. Her first impressions were that they were spoiled brats, and didn't go out of her way to know them. At first, she strictly remained in her room and only left to go to school or work.

She hated the parties they threw and would scold them for being too loud. It was Vasily who extended an olive branch in an idiotic way by whisking her away for a weekend retreat. Despite not wanting to go, Lark did have fun, and slowly over time, she began to befriend them.

Slowly, she began to spend more time with Vasily. Growing to like him, she began to invite him and Nikolai to her dance recitals, or to the daycare to watch the little plays the kids would put on.

As the year progresses, Lark finds that she's quite fond of Vasily, but makes a clear boundary that she will not use his connections or money to get ahead in her career. She would become successful on her own merits.

She hopes one day to be a great dancer.

🎶 MUSICAL NOTES — what type of music does your oc like? do they listen to music very often?

It really depends on the verse. If she is in the Grishaverse, she would probably like symphonies and orchestra music. I think she would really enjoy herself if she ever had a chance to go to an opera. I think her favorite is a blend of piano and violin / stringed instruments.

If it is a modern verse, She'd like a plethora of music. From Indie Folk, to Green Day, to Taylor Swift and everything in between. Lark isn't really fussed about the music she listens to.

💤 SLEEPING SIGN — is your oc a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? how are their sleeping habits?

Sleep is an issue for Lark. She suffers from terrible insomnia, and when she does sleep, it's usually for only a few hours at a time, and she would be a light sleeper.

When exhaustion is too much for her, then she will sleep for a long time and sleep like she's dead. These are rare though. Typically, when Lark can't sleep, she'll wander around the palace, or go to the library to read. She sleeps about 4 hours a night on average.

I would say in her line of work, she would know some medical knowledge and probably does know CPR.

🚫 PROHIBITED — does your oc drink/smoke? do they do it regularly, or is it more on occasion or for special events?

Before Vasily's death, Lark never really drank that much. She doesn't find it all that appealing but will do so if she is offered one at a party to be a courteous guest.

After Vasily's death, she drinks a lot more alone and in secret. She doesn't let it affect her work, but it becomes a coping mechanism to deal with the trauma of Nikolai's birthday party.

Lark doesn't smoke. She finds it a filthy habit, and it stinks, and cigarette/cigar smoke gives her a headache. If someone smokes around her, she'll use her inferni abilities to snuff out the smoke.

Her jaw set when he deigned to speak to her. An enemy masquerading as a loyal general to the crown. Lark knew better. General Zlatan had covered his tracks well when it came to his involvement with the assassination plot against Vasily. The King and Queen had believed him, but Lark had not.

They were alone now, in a courtyard Lark had been crossing to reunite with Vasily. Of course, Zlatan sought her out to taunt. What made Lark even more angry; it had worked.

She moved as if she was made of lightning. Her forearm met with Zlatan's throat, and with a mighty force, she pinned him to the castle wall. Her eyes blazed with murderous intent and for a fleeting moment, she thought of gutting him then and there.

" Harken to me, Zlatan and listen well. The crown will discover your involvement in attempting to murder Vasily, and when that day comes, I promise you, my blade will bury itself into you, and you will know the fire of my rage."

With that, she stepped away and dropped him. " Nothing more will give me pleasure than cooking you from the inside on your death day." She leaned in then, a growing taunting smirk appearing on her face.

" I will be the last thing you see before you die. Pray to the saints and hope they listen, your days are in fact numbered."

She stepped out onto the path and barred the way to the royal stables. She looked less than amused as she crossed her arms over her chest.

" You really thought you deceived me, Vasya?" Deep forest green hues locked on his visage, redden with fever. They were piercing as they showed her discontent.

" You cannot hide the fact you're sick with fever any longer, Vasya." she said and moved quickly and grasped his upper arm.

" You're going straight to bed." she said. " And you will not protest." she said as she began to lead him back towards the Grand Palace.

" Fight me, Princeling, and I will throw you over my shoulder and carry you myself, do you want me to do that? In front of your friends and family?" She already knew the answer. " Walk."
