whew well. In my sillay lil batb thing, Beauty's mom saved this lil fae dude that lived near her woods, and they became buddies. and being an out of touch fae dude, he tried to think hmm what's a good thank you gift till he came to the conclusion. A child. And that's how Beauty happened, she's half fae but doesn't know it
Her and the beast actually knew each other before he was cursed. He lived in a different village that was separated from hers by a large wood, which he often explored as a child, and Beauty's house was at the outskirts of town almost in the woods itself. When they were 11 they run into each other, but suspect the other is a fae (ok weird pretty child in the wood, sure 🙄), so they don't give out their names and instead go by nicknames- Beauty and Beast (they're 11 and think they're sooo clever), and they spend a summer hanging out :)
Back home Beast had another friend, a lonely changeling hiding in his mirror who's jealousy was growing each time he left. She's my fucked up lil meow meow <3
