Beasties, what do you think?

Okay...so the ‘BatB’ tag is literally filled with click bait link spam shit. Who wants to work with me to figure a new tag specifically for the show? Was thinking ‘BatBTV’, ‘BatBCW’ or something that separates us from the spam and the DIsney Movie. Just like what we did with the edits with ‘batbtvedit’. Or we could even just use the character names to find stuff related to the show..like ‘Vincent Keller’ or ‘Catherine Chandler’. I just know I’m FED up with digging through that spam.

BATB - “Shotgun Wedding”

I just want to say that I really enjoyed the most recent #BATB episode. I can see, from both sides, the reasons behind the deception / disliking being lied to, but honesty is important. I know Vincent and Catherine want to get married, and they will in their own time, but I’m glad they didn’t go through with it the st time. They were getting married, in my opinion, for all of the wrong reasons. They wanted to get married in order to check one thing off of their to-do list before hunting down more weirdos. The wedding was way too soon for both of them, and while I believe they really do love each other and want to marry, it’s not something they should consider lightly or get done to strike it off their list. They are too swept up in the “now” to even think about their future, and I think - whether they continue hunting Liam or not - that they need to figure all of this mess out before getting hitched. It was a smart call to spoil the wedding. 

And contrary to popular opinion, I liked the ending of the episode. It shows that even a relationship like VinCat’s doesn’t always end up with smiles. Lord knows how many shitty things they’ve encountered together, but even while still very much in love, they have their issues. Had Catherine been perfectly fine with the fact that V lied to her, it would have been unrealistic. I’m glad she’s not letting him off easy. 

Can’t wait for the next ep. What were your thoughts?

They said not everyone is safe in #BATB. What if... something happens to JT!! O_O What if that’s the reason Vincent loses it in 3x05? O_O Maybe JT is trying to save Cat to save Vincent from losing himself to his beast? Ohhhhh God, waiting for Thursday will be my death. O_O

Posting etiquette, Do’s and Don’ts

How do you call the Vincent & Catherine-ship? Even though officially it seems to be VinCat, tumblr-Beasties seem to prefer Catcent. Both are accepted! Are there special tags? We tag all not or recently aired episodes with “spoiler”, “batbspoiler”, “batb spoiler” and the episode name and/or number (for example 2x06), because in other countries the episodes air later and we don’t want to spoil. Also we avoid to post with the tag “beauty and the beast” we silently agree that this tag is for the Disney movie and we use “BatB” or “beautyandthebeast” Are there any special links for blogs and sites to follow? just take a look: here What are Feasties? There are different possibilities to watch so that your view gets count: install “Media Hint”. You may not be able to watch the episodes on CW, but the clips and allows you to access media streaming services like Netflix, Hulu and Pandora. ”tunnelbear" claims that you can also watch on the CW-platform, but you have to install some software for it. You have a certain amount of streaming per month for free, more than that you have to purchase, BUT you will have the highest quality. Hola unblocker - an addon for Browsers is VERY helpful as well! What is reposting and why is it bad? Reposting is making a new post with a contend that wasn’t originated by you - this can be gifs, pictures, manips, also texts as creative writing. It is bad because the person who has worked on the gif for example doesn’t get the recognition she or he deserves and it appears like you claim it for your own. Most bloggers aren’t aware of that I found an awesome gif/picture/artwork and I want to have it on my blog! I found a couple of them and I want to put them together on my blog! What do I do? If you have seen it on your dash or in the tag, simply hit the reblog button: the second from the right. If you want to collect some and post them yourself: some creators don’t like that because they have spend hours to create it. Show respect and reblog, or ask and source it. If you can’t find the original artist feel free to ask anyone, but look for a watermark first.

Reblogging respectfully to the artist who made the edit When reblogging an awesome gif, edit, artwork please be respectful to the creator by NOT adding negative words and thoughts in the caption. When you put distasteful things in the caption when you reblog the creator will see it. If you want and must say something negative and possibly something that could be considered rude, put it in the tags so the creator will not have to see it. To respect those who put so much time and effort for everyone, please don’t write negative things so that the artist sees it. What I mean by negative talk is writing that you hate the scene that they worked so hard into an edit. Or saying other distasteful things. We don’t want the artists to get discourage or hate making what they used to love to do. So please be respectful.

I have found a gif on google or weheartit: how am I supposed to find the original artist? Both sides are no real sources. Google however can help you find the original post and/or the artist who created something. let this post here (x) explain to you how to do it!

How can I avoid that my art gets reposted? There is not much you can do, apart from watermarking your gifs with your full tumblr name and not an acronym (a Beastie pup won’t know what that shorting mean!) and add a link to all your artwork. The better you tag your posts the easier it will be for a fellow Beastie to find the gif or other artwork to find! I know it can be frustrating but than again: it still is a sort of compliment when your work is reposted, even though not the one you want.
