I was concerned when #Metier3 messed around (2013) with the bizarrely wonderful #StJamesBuilding, the wrap-around to #SOM's #AMPSquare (reluctantly delivered by #BatesSmartMcCutcheon 1969), but they've actually done a good job of making the plaza much more user friendly. (at St James Building)
I love #Perth's Council House (1961-63, Jeffrey Howlett & Don Bailey from Melbourne's #BatesSmartMcCutcheon), a classic #Modernist/#Brutalist block in a lovely garden. And very glad that it wasn't demolished but eventually renovated in 1997-99 (Geoffrey Clough of Peter Hunt & #DarylJackson). But I'm a bit disapproving of the 22,000 LED lights blinging up the facades! (at Council House, Perth)
