Dispatch from the bathrooms of Europe
Bathrooms have been politicized in the United States as sacred ground in the war on gender flexibility. (When Target announced that Target transgender people could use Target restrooms, one Florida woman said she'd be bringing her machine gun into Target bathrooms to protect herself.)
Public and restaurant bathrooms in Europe, meanwhile, are a nice respite from guns and politics. Some have separate rooms with the toilets but shared sink-and-mirror space.
This restaurant bathroom in Barcelona was a single tiny bathroom with one stall designated for women and the other for men — take your pick — with one sink for all. (No, stall doors didn't reach to the floor.)
As I started washing my hands, a woman came in, entered the stall on the left and started doing her business.
Somehow, the Earth kept spinning.

Stephen Colbert’s take on the bathroom issue
Eve and Adam
Here is a religious conundrum... If Man was created first, then why is female the prototype and biological starting point? First things first. Sex is a biological concept. Male or Female. Gender is a social construct. Man or woman. Yes, ones sex is genetically determined immediately upon fertilization. ( But sex is only a binary genetic concept for about 98% of folks ) Since there is no female sex determining region in the sex chromosomes, it can be said that in mammals, the "default" embryological plan is female. Sex organs do not start developing until around 6 weeks, and a boy will appear the same as a girl until about 9 weeks. And the external sex organs are more fully developed around week 20. Just to be clear, I am not religious... But I came from religion. Thinking about religion and questioning these concepts is engrained in me. My point is, if you believe that Man (Adam) was created first... But that the developmental framework builds off of female prototype, they you have to believe that sex and genetics didn't come into play until some time after Eve was created. So when they were thrown out of the garden, did they mystically change, gain genetics and start having sex? You start having to build far-fetched, convoluted stories and reasoning to make your beliefs fit what we know empirically to be true. #apologetics reasoned arguments or writings in justification of something, typically a theory or religious doctrine.
