In the process of Batik, the waxed fabric is then dyed in the required colour, where the wax acts as a resist and the dye does not penetrate the waxed areas. The dye bath is usually hot and a lot of care has to be taken so that it doesn’t melt the wax. Later, to remove the wax from the fabric, it is dipped in very hot water. Then the fabric is left to dry. #batikprinting #process #indianbatik #batiktechnique #handicrafts #resistdyeing #blockprinting https://www.instagram.com/p/B94AV6-pVFN/?igshid=1pxuezpkkf9ls
