Battery Knowledge What to do if your battery is over-discharged during use？ If your battery is accidentally over-discharged during use, for example, a 6S battery with a nominal voltage of 22.2V and a full charge voltage of 25.2V (the nominal voltage of each cell is 3.7V, and the full charge voltage is 4.2V), then the discharge voltage of this battery pack should ideally not be lower than 18V. Below 18V is considered over-discharge. Over-discharge is very common for some novice pilots. So, how should we maintain the battery after over-discharge？ Key point: Use a lithium-ion charger to slow charge at 0.1C current until the voltage reaches above 21.6V, then you can charge with the maximum current the battery pack can handle. For batteries that are not used for a long time, it is recommended to perform a regular charge and discharge cycle every 3 months to activate the chemical components of the lithium-ion battery. For example, for a 22.2V battery pack, it is best to keep the battery voltage between 22.8V and 23.4V for storage. When storing, please insulate the battery and store it in a dry and cool place.
