I’m so normal about battle beetles

Also this is AFTER I went on hiatus bc I forgot to breed some of my beetles and lost several of the lines I was working on, I was so heartbroken I stopped logging in for a while lol. Currently focusing on building up solid lines of the explore species before branching out, currently have 20/29 species running!

I wish there was a catnip equivalent for beets

Sometime back I managed to dig up a female with this coloration. I happened to have a male of the same species with an uncommon color, and managed to get all the larvae to come out Chromatic, so I’ve been breeding these out for a few generations, just trying to collect their death items.

Nui's real first rivals: the Battle Beetles. These boys are a mean bunch of mercenaries. VERY MEAN! I swear. Look at em!

I hatched my fluffy beetles and I got mostly Sables, a couple of Chinchillas, and a Dutch. Sadly all but 3 are male, so I'll have to figure out which I like best and breed accordingly.

Still got my mantids. This may be my last round of breeding before I let them die off, idk. My breeding stock is thinning anyway, and I’ve had to get creative.

I've still got my flower mantids. I just... Really love mantids, lol. I've accidentally bred out all but 2 greens. I keep hoping a Pink will pop up. I've had that before, where breeding 2 uncommons will have the other uncommon come out. There are no pinks for sale, only albinos, and i'm not thrilled for the albinos. Anyway, i love these a lot and I think I'll have them at least another month or two before I start on my fluffy beetles.
