my first artfight attack - Corthas - @ez-raholic dnd character
New DnD party, time for quick good-enough portraits. My character Alaswain up top, my best friend's character Keltin below. It's only been 2 sessions but the Wild beyond the Witchlight is already fire
You could call her a gijinka and you wouldn’t be wrong, but this is my latest DnD character!
A mountain dwarf who loves to build things, based on a Gen 9 pokemon called tinkaton! She’s a battle smith artificer that i plan to use as a warhammer wielder who also does heals!
The snorlax mech is her “steel defender” who she named tungsten. Its feet are constructed to allow the toes to retract, and then they become wheels! It doesn’t do anything in-game, but it’s a cool mental visual for when it takes the dash action or moves generally quickly. Its chest works similarly to a bag of holding, and has a dial-type lock, to make it more difficult for thieves to steal from it. It has stretchy arms to allow it to more easily grab things, but they can’t be used to attack in that state.
Once i find a gem worth 100GP or more, i can use it to create a homunculus servant also! I decided i want the servant to look like a magnemite to fit with the theme. It generally will serve the same functions as a normal homunculus servant, but with the added ability to merge with the hammer, using electro-magnetic force to deal an additional 1d8 damage to the opponent on a successful hit, up to 3 times between long rests!
Her mount (when i can manage to salvage all the material needed, and the gold) is gonna be a big ol’ charger, modeled after rhyhorn. Haven’t decided on how it’s gonna work yet, but by god I’m gonna try lol
Between her and her mechanical companions, i plan for her to be able to hit hard, but also provide some modest healing for a party that otherwise wouldn’t have a dedicated healer, with abilities like spare the dying, shield, and cure wounds.
I may or may not also give her some levels in fighter to get the battle master subclass, but I’m not 100% on the idea yet.
everyone say hi to our new kobold dad and his kobold son and their big robot salamander
(Vesuvius and his lil boy Saako - new friday campaign started ❤️)
Every artificer can be flavored as just an average American dad. Always tinkering with shit. The subclasses too.
Artillerist? Your dad’s hobby is hunting.
Alchemist? Your dad likes brewing his own beer.
Armorer? Your dad is really overprotective and is trying his best to keep you safe.
Battle Smith? Mom said you couldn’t get a dog, so dad built one.
Even the spells too. The artificer spellcasting feature states that to others, it looks like you have magical items that cast spells, but that you don’t.
Cast Thunderwave or Gust of Wind? Looks like dad pumped up the power of the leaf blower.
Heat Metal? Dad got a new blowtorch!
Mending? Nothing some duct tape won’t fix.
Bigby’s Hand? It’s your neighbor Bigby who stopped by.
Rope Trick? Dad broke a vase and is hiding in the attic from mom.
The possibilities are endless.
and it’s time for a few small repairs, she said sunny came home with a vengeance
Design-a-character commission for FairyKnights on twitter of their adorable Warforged Battle Smith Artificer for Strixhaven!
A small turnaround I drew while figuring out his design
