The Birthday

For my birthday this year I had a BLAST!

To kick it off...

Erik took me flying in a HOT AIR BALLOON!! 

It was so beautiful! We watched the sunrise and drifted at the speed of the wind. We were up about 2000ft! It was so quiet. We had so much fun! The company is called Portland Rose Balloons. If you live in this area definitely check them out, they are some of the nicest guys, we really had the best time!!

Our landing destination was Bauman Farms. They sell fresh produce, and homemade goods with their fruits and vegetables! We bought freshly made marionberry doughnuts! Yum! It’s an adorable place to visit and they do fun events all year round! Check them out!!

On the day of my actual birthday, as always, cake for breakfast!

And this amazingly perfect necklace!!! (Hats off to Erik!!)

We went to brunch at Raven & Rose. I had the best Shepherd’s Pie!

After brunch we drove Astoria, Ore.

We visited Fort Stevens State Park, a coastal defense fort that was active during the Civil up until the end of World War II.

We went to Fort George Brewery and got lunch and a beer. I got the Divinity. It was good.

We crossed the Astoria-Megler Bridge, a 4mi long bridge that goes from Oregon to Washington. It’s pretty cool.

For dinner we went to Huber’s, Portland’s oldest restaurant. They are famous for their Spanish Coffee. They put on a very delightful show right at your table!

To finish off the night, they gave me pumpkin pie for my birthday. Erik sung. A Perfect day indeed.
