[Pork-free] Pork-free Dim Sum can be easily a miss due to limited ingredients. Fortunately, this is not the case for the new Hong Kong Kitchen at Krystal Point, Bayan Lepas, Penang. For instance, we couldn't differentiate Traditional Siew Mai 传统靓烧卖 (RM5.90) versus non pork-free version. We also tried something radically distinctive, including Fried Dough Cheong Fun 怀旧炸两 (RM5.90) with Youtiao stuffed in Chee Cheong Fun skin. If it is still not enough for you, try premium Unagi Siew Mai 鳗鱼烧卖 (RM12.90). Rice and noodle also available. All Dim Sum are "cooked to order" so expect little wait time. [Non-Halal] New HK-style cafe at Summerskye, Bayan Lepas, Penang - Yi Xi Shi Tang 壹喜食堂 (was Clay cafe) with new management and menu. Surprisingly, a dish caught our attention was Thai-style fried rice with fluffy deep fried omelette. Suitable for those enjoying oily food or miss Thailand. Traditional Milk Tea topped with a scope of ice cream is also a plus. Stephen Chow's 销魂饭 (basically a Char Siew Rice) also can be found here.
