AoBayonette Au Part 2 (Souls, Planes, Characters & Stuff)

Souls

Souls play an important role in this Au, they are what Sly uses to create weapons as well as the reason he awakened in the first place. Sly blue himself doesn’t have one, he could be described as a “spirit-less” being which can only exist by bonding with those with the blood of the “scrap clan” Aoba is, unknowingly, the last member of such clan, and that is the reason Sly has bonded with him. Because of this, Sly can take control of Aoba’s body and he can also turn aoba’s own soul into a weapon for him to use. The catch is that since a body can’t live without a soul for too long, sly IS FORCED to give Aoba back his body after a certain period of time, else both he and Aoba would die. Sly can also turn the soul of other people into weapons for a time, as long as the soul he is using belongs to someone “close” to Aoba, and it returns to its owner’s body after an amount of time

Planes.

There are tow main planes in this universe; the “human” world where we live and “Rhyme” a strange a ruleless world inhabited by powerful creatures that seem not to think to highly of humanity. in between the tow realms there is a third pseudo-plane called “The limbo” it connects the tow main realms and it’s in there that most of sly’s battles take place. things that happen in the limbo can have noticeable effect in the human world. for example, things from the human world, like windows, walls, etc.. can be destroyed in the limbo, and anyone in the human realm can see the destruction yet not the source of it.

Characters

Aoba: An outgoing and lively 23 year old. the blood of a “scrap clan” runs through his veins. Thus he’s bonded to a second entity who takes control of his body to fight and use magic. Aoba’s own soul can be turned into a set of 4 handguns (based on Love is Blue)

Sly Blue: the other Aoba, he really is a spritless entity who for periods of time can take control of a “scrap witch’s” body. Sly has paragon fighting skills, agility and dexterity. He can use magic to travel between planes, and turn the souls of others into weapons.

Koujaku: In his youth he was forced into being tattooed by a man named Ryuuhou, who drew a cursed tattoo on Koujaku’s back that connects him with a powerful and evil entity in rhyme. Because of the curse, if Koujaku looses his temper, he’ll become a feral beast. Out of luck, he’s also bonded with a lesser spirit of Rhyme, a sparrow named Beni. Koujaku falls almost instantaneously in love with Aoba upon meeting him, but stays in denial for a while. he decides to follow him to rid himself of the curse. Sly can turn his soul into a Katana, (Based on Shuraba)

Noiz: A young man who was born with the ability to sense and “feel” the beings from rhyme that move across the limbo. because of this his sense of feeling seems numbed. Noiz Starts to follow aoba’s in his search to understand the source or the “reason” of his power, which turns to be only the mischief caused by Usagimodoki, an entity of rhyme who got a liking for Noiz since his birth. As time passes, Noiz gets attached to aoba, but still acts cold and detached in front of him and pretty much everybody else. His soul can be turned into a pair of rocket launchers. (based on Lt. Col. Mink: the only surviving member of a tribe that could sense the beings of rhyme and believed in the need of balance between the planes. The whole tribe was cursed and destroyed by an evil entity of rhyme. Mink’s survival was out of pure luck, but he was left with a deep psychic scar. In time he used this scar, to make a contract with a creature from rhyme named Rurakan, offering his soul in exchange for means to help him have his revenge. He comes across Aoba in his quest and decides to follow him and try to utilise him. yet, he slowly comes to respect, admire and even... desire Aoba. Sly can turn Mink’s soul into a massive, thunderous Hammer. (based on Takemikazuchi)

Clear: Sly describes clear as a “big mistake” a being from Rhyme, that accidentally phased and was born in a human body. Clear’s soul emits an aura that most humans dislike, and thus has been treated as a pest and an outcast for most of his life. the only person to ever give him love and care was his “grandfather” a man who had a certain understanding and sensitivity about Rhyme, and believed in giving Clear the fair treatment every being deserves. After his grandfather’s passing Clear embarks on a personal journey that eventually leads him to Aoba. He becomes entranced by him, and starts following him around calling him his “master” Clear’s soul can be turned into Bow (based on Kafka)
