Bio: Bayuki lives near the Zygarde Shrine in Azure Town. She takes care of the shrine along with her mother, and two other families. One family is an Azumarill and Marill, the other an Alolan Ninetales and Alolan Vulpix. Bayuki is mostly left to sweep up leaves, despite having no limbs to hold a broom. Her vines make up for it though. Bayuki and her mother come from an icy forest far from the south. In the land, grass types struggled to live with the extremely cold climate. Many Pokemon left, but those who remained adapted, the majority of Pokemon becoming part Ice type, similar to how Pokemon in Alola adapted to the differing environments. Now the land is frozen over, and only the coldest of Pokemon can survive there. On reaching the semi-tropical island and moving in to Azure Town, Bayuki and her mother took many years getting used to the new climate. Maybe in the future they may revert back to pure grass types. They were offered a place to stay at the Shrine. Grateful for their kindness, they decided to repay the Shrine by tending to it with the other families. Bayuki is generally hard to get along with, ignoring people and getting angry or annoyed fairly often, the result of this meaning she has very few friends. She's happiest being at the shrine with her mother and the other family, even if she hates the work. She's pretty straight forward and doesn't hold back, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation. Bayuki is usually bullied or teased a lot for her looks, since other Bayleef don't look alike in Azure Town, but luckily Bayuki is always a step above them, not letting anyone get to her. When she met Lar, she thought he was nothing more than a show off, but as times went on she began to notice Latiar was with her often and didn't seem to be driven away by her negative attitude. She developed a huge crush on him, but barely speaks of it. Possibly she's not sure if she wants anything to do with Lar. She really likes sushi, and goes to the Shellder Sushi bar often. All sushi there however has no meat of fish! Instead there are substitutes made from various plants, vegetables and more commonly, tofu and mushrooms. Her Ultraball necklace has been with her since her days in the icy forest. She hasn't tried opening it yet...what if there's something still inside?

Moves: Bayuki throws sharp, frozen leaves at the target. Being an ice type as well as a grass, she's learned to use ice type moves. However, due to her leaves being frosted over, her Razor Leaf attack is part ice as well.

Bayuki’s redesign is underway!

I studied Bayleef’s anatomy a little more as well. Found out I’ve been drawing the head leaf wrong all this time. I tried to make it more realistic.

The main changes involves the leaves around her neck now have an extra ‘petal’ coming off of the bud, and a frosted winter leaf instead of a standard one.

I tried drawing her without the hair, but she doesn’t look the same without it.
