I think I missed it but what's up with frecklewish? I know she's in the DF due to clouded judgement but. What's her story? Can we get a BB summary?
She is on my to-do list for BB!Profiles, she's a very important Dark Forest Demon! But I'll serve up a little jumble on her;
Frecklewish is the daughter of Shinecloud and Beetail. Shinecloud was the sister of Oakstar; he raised her like a daughter.
Birchface and Frecklewish were all he had left of Shinecloud, and were very precious to him.
Like canon, she believed that Mapleshade was giving birth to her brother's kittens. She swore to love and protect them in his name.
But, of course... the secret was revealed.
But this time, StarClan NEVER meant for there to be a sign revealing it. It was a rogue StarClan warrior, Birchface.
Frecklewish expresses her grief through anger. She is not a passive person. She's FURIOUS when she learns she was lied to, and attacks Mapleshade
And calls the kittens Brood Parasites. She breaks out the cuckoo-word.
When the family is tossed out into the rain, Freck follows them to the River to make sure they leave.
She saw them struggling to cross, and didn't help. But it looked like they were still going to make it, until the Plot Tsunami swept them away.
Freckle couldn't have saved them. As soon as the wave came, they were GONE. She saw RiverClan warriors jumping in, but went home.
She was killed in a way similar to canon, taken out by Mapleshade at Snakerocks by a trapped adder.
She was put on Trial to a FURIOUS StarClan. EIGHT cats dead in a season and three drowned kits!!
It doesn't matter to them that Frecklewish couldn't save the kittens. She tries to argue it, but the crowd's too hyped to listen to reason.
It also didn't neccesarily help that while on the stand, Frecklewish tries to keep her honor, standing proud and looking the prosecutor in the eyes.
In any other circumstance it would have been respected... but her prosecutor was Larchface. It came off like she was making excuses when she was earnestly trying to defend herself, and when she got so angry she called Mapleshade and the kits parasites again, it clinched her fate.
She got damned to the Dark Forest along with Apple and Raven.
Now a resident of the Dark Forest, she can be channeled to help defend against Mapleshade’s hauntings.
In particular, her connection to the Tigerkin is very strong.
You can use parts of adders to channel her. Shed skin, meat, bones, etc. (No eggs because adders dont lay eggs)
Eventually, Frecklewish is one of Tigerstar's loyal warriors in OotS. Being in the Dark Forest has only encouraged her to indulge the worst side of herself, and she holds a grudge against StarClan for denying her.
She believes they have forgotten the true code, and allowed it to rot and fester.
Her Clanmew name is Husswoshaba, "Whiskerbase + Prayer." A husswo is the spot where a whisker connects to the face, and a wish and a prayer are the same concept in Clanmew.
