Daughter of Willowpelt, has epilepsy as a result of her nightshade-based brain damage which expresses as absence seizures! Her treatment is a regiment of valerian root.

She takes over as Head of Kitchen Patrol from her mother-in-law, Frostfur. She LOVES food and is very passionate about making sure you never eat raw meat, much to the chagrin of her friend Squirrelflight, who finds uncooked meals absolutely delicious. Sorreltail's favorite food is grasshopper, notably strange for ThunderClan.

She got into cooking in the first place because no one was willing to cook her bugs besides her. Turns out she had a knack for it!

And she's living a lot longer. Her mate Brackenfur is killed in BB!Po3 during the Battle of the False Eclipse, as part of a Dark Forest plot, so I won't be offing her in the Battle of the TRUE Eclipse like canon. Dustpelt is dying instead, defending his last litter-- Seedpaw and Lilyheart.

Sorrel is alive to the current era, but definitely looking to retire soon. She also only has one litter of four kits; Cinderheart, Poppyfrost, Honeysnake, and Molepaw/flight (StarClan angel name).

grasshopper post got me thinking... does sorreltail have any friends in windclan that she can go nuts over grasshoppers with?

Considering I imagine Torear is always having problems getting his sons (Kestrel and Hare) to eat their vegetables, he feels right for that! He probably makes some BANGER grubcakes and forged a good bond with Sorreltail during the journey.

It'd impress him that there's a ThunderClan cat who can scoff down hopper poppers with the best of 'em and try to teach her the trick to getting them perfectly crunchy.

Other friendly WindClan cats who are active around this time;

Pigeonflight He's an elder, or being goaded into retiring, but he was part of the BloodClan trading patrols and would be pretty chill with being approached.

Addersong A kit that Talltail saved from an adder, cinching the deputy position over his own son, Flytail. Addersong just gives me big Aftergathering Buddy vibes. He also plays the breezebone.

Snapstorm An ex-BloodClan trader who joined along with her bestie, Brushblaze. I feel like her old habits die hard. She's just a natural networker, she loves connecting people, having friends in other Clans, and cutting deals with them. I'm sure Onestar did eventually make it into a bit of an issue in his later, more paranoid years.

just a little, a smidge really. I'm very normal about BB!Sorreltail.

Sorreltail is head of the Kitchen Patrol, she developed a love of it because no one would cook her grasshoppers.

Grasshoppers are her FAVORITE food, she loves chasing them, she loves their crunch, loves their funny long rabbit legs.

She gets along with most cats, unless they try to eat raw meat in camp, in which case she pummels a lecture about tapeworms into their head.

Sorreltail has epilepsy from her childhood nightshade poisoning! It gave her neurological damage; it expresses as absence seizures.

An absence seizure isn't convulsive like the 'classic' clonic-tonic; she suddenly 'spaces out', eyes rolling up, losing control of her body for a brief period of time. Usually about 5 seconds.

She is not conscious during a seizure, and it will interrupt her train of thought in the moment. She's able to go right back to whatever she was doing, but needs to be reminded of what she was talking about if she was mid-sentence.

She often has multiple, brief seizures in a day.

Some days are rough and she can have several dozen. Other days see none at all.

She had a seizure on the Thunderpath and was grazed by a car. Her assessment was delayed as a result.

Rainwhisker and Sootfur went ahead and got their names without her "LIKE A BUNCH OF JERKS"

Her treatment plan is valerian supplements; she likes this treatment because it helps prevent her from getting drowsy.

Valerian acts like catmint, making her giddy and more hyper. She really appreciates the stimulant because she's an active, outgoing gal.

She looks a LOT like her papa Whitestorm, her siblings look more like Willowpelt. (Graystripe, Darkstripe, Cricketclaw, and Featherkit are Dappletail's kids now; they have no relation to Willowpelt.)

The spiky fur and face mask are actually passed down from Thistleclaw himself, the wolf-tail is a Bluestar family trait from Snowfur.

The coloring was initially based on a grasshopper but then I realized it also kinda looks like ice cream.

ThunderClan cats tend to be large and fluffy, Sorreltail is a good example of it.

She's going to live a LOT longer, in fact, she's alive up to the current arc! However, she sadly lost her mate Brackenfur in Po3. She misses him every day. They had four kittens in one litter; Cinderheart, Honeyfern, Poppyfrost, and Molepaw.

Because Sorreltail is staying alive, Sorrelstripe is named Duststripe after Dustpelt instead. Lilypaw and Seedpaw are his and Ferncloud's. Ferncloud is also surviving.

I'm in love with her, she's one of my favorites. Girls who are small and consumed by their passions hold this world up on its axis

Her Clanmew name is Pishkafsheek, "Red Squirrel Soaring (like a bird of prey)," shortened to "Pishee" by Clanmates.

She is well known and regarded as a fantastic deputy in-universe. She was Bramblestar's first, taking power after the death of her father in BB!Cruel Season.

Though she wasn't deputy for long, the sudden public demotion at the secret reveal and replacement with Thornclaw was controversial.

Her relationship with Bramble is intentionally toxic. This time, she does not get back with him after he disowns the Three at that gathering.

Her ear and heart tuft is "broken" in OotS.

However, she does return to deputyship after Thornclaw is revealed to be working with the Dark Forest in the Great Battle.

Sparkpelt is her apprentice, not child. Spark and Alder are Jessy's kittens.

Her reworked super edition is called Squirrelflight's Horror. She considers getting back with Bramblestar just before the Sister Situation happens.

The Trial, that time around, is regarding Fire Alone as her ideology more than any one thing she has done. She has kept her father's legacy alive and close to her heart.

Her favorite food is RAW MEAT. She ignores ALL WARNINGS ABOUT WORMS.

She swears in Clanmew when she finds out they don't even have fire.
