Why a scar? 😱😱

BB had brush with death (w/ a now deceased ninja) when he was younger, resulting in said scar. He only started covering it with a scarf because of BD.

When I say BD sobbed when she first saw it, I mean she SOBBED. which of course he got in trouble for because everyone assumed he said something to upset her.

Got some big encouragement in the SLBP server to do this.. I’m not great at these but here I go lol!

As kiddies:

BB is smitten with BD when they first meet by chance as children. He’s not sure what that feeling is so he attempts to train it out. It doesn’t work. BD on the other hand.. she thinks he’s an annoy idiot.

They argue over EV-ER-Y-TH-ING whenever they’re together, causing Saizo to become exasperated and Shige to poke fun at the little “couple”.

BD has a huge crush on Kojuro and hopes to marry him someday. She tries her best to mold herself into a lady he may love and respect someday. BB sees this and hates it. “He’s older than your dad, and he’s old!”

BD is protective of “her idot”. No one better talk ill of him or else she’ll summon her grandmothers techniques of dealing with people. She wont kill them, but they’ll definitely get a dose of poison (thanks @dear-mrs-otome and @ihavenotfallenyet!). Her older brothers are the usual victims.

BB is really impressed with BD knowledge of military and material arts. 9/10 he’s asking her what she thinks of his training translation: ARE YOU IMPRESSED? PLEASE BE IMPRESSED. NOTICE ME!.

During celebrations they’re always wondering off together getting into trouble around the castle.

Teen/YA years:

BB has become aware of what “that” feeling is. He’s in love, but she loves Kojuro lucky bastard. BD is still oblivious to BB’s feelings but is excited to see him when he visits.

They always play shogi. She always wins, he’s cool with that.

They still argue but BB usually backs down easily to avoid angering BD (and being tied to her, it’s embarrassing af). He’ll apologize with a new hairpin. needless to say, she has a collection of apology hairpins to match her eyes.

BD ask BB about things she’s read in the lovers guide (stolen from his room). she’s very curious and thinks BB most have done some of the things by now because he’s a young healthy male.

He did leave a mark on her neck once because she kept begging him to.

BD has developed a habit of wearing tall geta because BB is “the height of a horse.”, and it’s easier to lock arms with him with them on.

BB teases BD about her biting her lip all the time but lowkey loves when she does that. It’s the cutest thing ever. BD also enjoys teasing him by making him beg her for things.

He dreams and thinks about her all the time. How beautiful her eyes are, her laugh, how good she is at archery and shooting.. that one time he saw her naked.

Saizo is 100% over these two not figuring their little situation out. Stop Asking. Him.

BD finally realizes she loves him when she catches herself pining for him. She hates that she’s fallen for him, by her plan, she was supposed to marry Kojuro!

Legit will stare at him until he’s embarrassed trying to find something to not like about him. She can’t find anything. She’s even more irritated.

BB definitely notices the extra attention, telling her she’s going to give him the wrong idea if she keeps looking at him like that (undoubtedly biting her lip).

She likes when he rest his head in her lap while she reads to him 💗

BB is very honest about how beautiful he thinks she is and BD wishes he wasn’t ///

BB just about dies of a heart attack when BD ask him to her lover. He’s pretty sure the whole Date clan is going to kill him, minus Shige, if he’s not careful.
