First book con was a success! I had an amazing time and got to meet all 3 authors I went there for. Meeting Jennifer Hartmann was the highlight and I gave her a note I wrote for her (which had her tearing up, sorry!!) a bracelet I made and a bag of ketchup chips lol. I bought out every small bag at the store to trade when I ran out of bracelets.

I've never been able to travel to a bookcon so something local was perfect. And for a first run, they did a great job. It was a lot of standing in lines but you could sit, make friends and trade. I'd much rather than to the absolute chaos of other cons.
I got to meet my favourite author, Jennifer Hartmann. I gave her a bracelet a made and a note a wrote. It talked about how Still Beating was my first book of hers and I lived with Cora because of my own childhood trauma.
I was not expecting her to read it right there and she was tearing up. We did a photo together and she gave me a hug. Also got to meet two other authors I like and found a bunch of new ones.
My voice is trashed and I'm so exhausted but it was the most fun I've had this year
