Supertato: Fizzy River
(Opens up in the supermarket during an unbearable heatwave. The sun is shining brighter than usual through the glass roof as the warmth increases)
Narrator: (sighs) “Attention, super viewers! It’s a scorcher in the supermarket and our fruit and veggie friends are having this heatwave worse in Tato Tower.”
(the camera zooms into Tato Tower before the scene cuts to the main room inside where Supertato and his friends Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli, Tomato and the three Grape Kids are feeling hot and bothered, sweating profusely as they try to keep themselves cool, but to no avail)
Supertato: (dabbing his sweaty face with his cape) “Well, I’d never thought I’d say this, but it’s official. This is the worst heatwave to ever hit the supermarket!”
Carrot: (holding a mini fan in her hand) “That’s for sure! It’s like a life-size oven in here with all this extreme heat and I’m not loving this extreme heat at all!”
Chilli: (already sweating and burning) “No kidding. It’s just as hot as my own chilli heat.”
Tomato: “Oh, I wasn’t expecting to be juicier on a hot day like this.”
Grape Kid 1: “Me neither.”
Grape Kid 2: “So true.”
Grape Kid 3: “Hottest day ever.”
Broccoli: “Yeah, I’ll say. It’s even hotter inside Tato Tower.”
Supertato: “At least you’re not wrong about that, Broccoli.”
(Broccoli perks up, giggles, holds a squirt gun in her hands and squirts Supertato, Carrot, Chilli, Tomato and the Grape Kids)
Chilli: “Why’d you squirt us?”
Broccoli: “That’s probably ‘cause you’re a hot pepper and Supertato’s a hot potato!” (turns to Supertato and playfully nudges him) “Get it, Supertato?”
Supertato: “We get it, Broccoli, but I think there’s another way to make that joke just as long as we stay hydrated during this heatwave.”
Broccoli: “You’re right. How about by the bucket?”
(She throws a bucket of water at everyone, who end up wetter and more surprised)
Chilli: “That’s not what we meant.”
Broccoli: “Sorry.” (sheepishly giggles)
(Supertato offers his friends water bottles for each of his friends)
Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli, Tomato and the Grape Kids: “Thanks, Supertato!”
Supertato: “No problem, friends!”
(He winks and smiles at the crew)
Carrot: “It’s really important to stay hydrated during a heatwave like this and so is a refreshing dip. We just need the right place to do it.” (She uses the Tatoscope for yet another way to cool down as she spots a party fountain in the drinks aisle and gasps) “A party fountain! This would be perfect to cool down during this heatwave!”
Supertato: “Great! But we can’t just swim in the fountain. It wouldn’t be as much fun to be in one place as it is to see our friends like we can travel alongside the supermarket on a lazy river.” (gasps) “A lazy river. That’s it! We can make a lazy river out of this party fountain!”
Broccoli: “Ooh! We’d definitely relax and come see our fruit and veggie friends while literally going with the flow!”
Chilli: “That would make us all so happy, especially me, of course.”
Tomato: “It’s perfect! The less likely to be too juicy during this heatwave the better.”
(The Grape Kids happily cheer in response)
Carrot: “I was just thinking the same thing, Supertato! You’re a genius!”
Supertato: “Thanks, Carrot. Well, what are we waiting for? Come on, everybody! Let’s go and cool down during the heatwave!” (The Tato Team and the Grape Kids then leave Tato Tower as the next scene cuts to the other sweltering supermarket aisles, where we see them sweating, but they came prepared with portable hand fans and water bottles to cool themselves down before they finally make it to the drinks aisle, where they find the party fountain mentioned earlier as groovy pop rock music starts to play) “Here we are! Super cool, isn’t it?” (Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli, Tomato and the three Grape Kids are amazed by its presence as the Grape Kids rush over to see its fun features while Supertato, Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli and Tomato see a clear plastic tube that would make a great lazy river formation) “Now that we’re all here, let’s work on this fountain and give it a lazy river.” (Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli, Tomato and the three Grape Kids groan in disapproval, concerning Supertato) “What’s wrong? Aren’t you all excited?”
Chilli: “Of course we are, Supertato. It’s just that all this work would make us even hotter under the collar.”
Broccoli: “I know, right? I was looking forward to a cooldown like this.”
Carrot: “We all wanna take a dip.”
Tomato: “I’d hate to be all sun-dried as a fruit that quickly. How about you, Grape Kids?”
Grape Kids: (tiredly) “Yeah.”
Supertato: “Don’t worry, fellow fruits and veggies. We’ll all relax as soon as we get the work done. I suggest that we all…” (singing) 🎵Add just a little bit of fizz! There ain’t no biz like summer biz! There’s always time for hope when all is strife!🎵
🎵Yeah, just a little bit of fizz will show us where the sunshine is! So, add a little fizz into your life!🎵
🎵Wherever I wander, wherever I roam, I couldn’t be fonder of my supermarket home. I’m always ready to stop Pea with all my friends right beside me!🎵
🎵When you seize the moment you’ve been waiting for and know exactly what’s in store!🎵 (spoken) “Hey, I bet it’s something new…”
(Supertato, Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli and Tomato all connect a clear plastic tube that winds across every supermarket aisle to both ends of the fountain while the Grape Kids watch)
Carrot: “Well, how about that?”
Supertato: (spoken) “I know, teamwork is really fun when we all work together!” (singing) 🎵A little bit of fizz is sure to tickle you!🎵
Grape Kids: “But when?”
Supertato: 🎵It’s sure to tickle you!🎵 (spoken) “Hit it, Carrot!”
Carrot: 🎵Add just a little bit of fizz! There ain’t no biz like summer biz! There’s always time for hope when all is strife!🎵
🎵Yeah, just a little bit of fizz is sure to make relaxing whizz with just a little fizz into your life!🎵
Broccoli: 🎵Now when you learn a new dance or sing a new song,🎵
Grape Kids: “Ooh!”
Broccoli: 🎵And you feel the music, well, you can’t go wrong!🎵
Chilli: 🎵Don’t feel so hot under all this heat!🎵
🎵When you feel cool, you’ll stay on the beat.🎵
Tomato: 🎵But you don’t need to feel the heat when you’re with your friends to make this day sweet!🎵 (He pushes a few fruit baskets to the fountain where the tube has already been inserted) “Have I given you a clue?”
Broccoli: “Wow, that’s totally true!”
Carrot: “I knew teamwork’s gonna pay off sooner or later.”
(Supertato brings out the sparkling water)
Supertato: “Glad we’re all getting with the beat!” (singing) 🎵A little bit of fizz is sure to tickle you!🎵
Grape Kids: “It’s sure to tickle us!”
Supertato: 🎵It’s sure to tickle you!🎵 (Music from the song goes on through the whole following party fountain lazy river setup scene) “How about adding that sparkling water to the party fountain, Carrot?”
Carrot: “Way ahead of you, Supertato!”
(Carrot adds the sparkling water into the party fountain as it fizzes upward and flows through the pipe as the lazy river and Chilli turns the fountain on as it fizzes even further, making Broccoli want to dance with the rhythm of the fizzy carbonated bubbles)
Broccoli: (giggles) “So sparkly, so bubbly, so fabulous!”
(She dances a little before she almost falls and thankfully gets saved by Supertato who pulls her up)
Supertato: “I appreciate your enthusiasm, Broccoli, but let’s wait until it’s ready.”
Broccoli: “No worries, Supertato.”
(Tomato then adds fruit like citrus fruits and berries for flavor and mint leaves and hibiscus flowers for garnish)
Tomato: “How’s this for fruit infused?”
Supertato: “Perfect! But something’s missing.” (The Grape Kids get out their inflatable cup holder rafts; the female green Grape Kid has an inflatable swan cup holder raft, the female light purple Grape Kid has an inflatable seashell cup holder raft and the male dark purple Grape Kid has an inflatable crab cup holder raft) “Good idea, Grape Kids! No lazy river is complete without some rafts!” (Supertato and his friends each get out their own inflatable cup holder raft (Supertato has an inflatable island cup holder raft, Carrot has an inflatable rainbow cup holder raft, Broccoli has an inflatable mermaid cup holder raft, Chilli has an inflatable flamingo cup holder raft and Tomato has an inflatable cherry cup holder raft) before Supertato gently touches the sparkling water as it tickles his skin) “Oh wow, this is really living.” (Satisfied, he lets himself fall into the water onboard his inflatable island cup holder raft) “So just try and relax. Yeah.” (Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli, Tomato and the three Grape Kids follow his lead, inflatable cup holder rafts in tow) “Cool it. The water’s what you should touch. ’Cause let me tell you fruits and veggies something. If you act like Pea acts, uh-uh. You worry too much. Just don’t spend your time living to serve for something good you feel you don’t deserve.” (singing) 🎵When you realize you’ll forget about it and go along even though you doubt it, I’ll tell you something true. A little bit of fizz is sure to tickle you!🎵
(Evil Pea appears feeling jealous and annoyed that her rival gets to have fun during the heatwave)
Evil Pea: “So, that dud spud gets to have all the fizzy fun during this heatwave with his friends? Well, I’ve got just the plan to cool them down.” (She giggles mischievously as she brings out ice cold water to execute her soon-to-fail plan)
Supertato: (spoken) “Everybody sing along!”
Supertato, Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli, Tomato and the three Grape Kids: (singing together) 🎵Add just a little bit of fizz! There ain’t no biz like summer biz! There’s always time for hope when all is strife!🎵
Grape Kids: “Yeah, man!”
Supertato, Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli, Tomato and the three Grape Kids: 🎵Yeah, just a little bit of fizz is sure to make relaxing whizz with just a little fizz into your life!🎵
Supertato: “Yeah.”
Supertato, Carrot, Broccoli, Chilli, Tomato and the three Grape Kids: 🎵With just a little fizz into your life.🎵
Grape Kids: “Yeah, man!”
Supertato: (laughing happily) “Beautiful. That’s music to my ears.”
Chilli: “I’ve never been more happy to be this cool.”
Supertato: “That’s what I’m talking about. We’re gonna stay cool with a lazy river like this. Why, this lazy river would be bubbly enough to make this heatwave way more bearable.”
(As they float along, they meet their fruit and veggie friends along the way while going through various aisles in the supermarket, starting with Kiwi, who was exploring the cookware aisle when he saw the heroes)
Kiwi: “Oh, I say! What an impressive lazy river, friends!”
Tomato: “Thanks, Kiwi!”
(Next, they spot Prickly Pear relaxing in his Western style crate)
Prickly Pear: “Well, howdy Supertater and friends! Ain’t that a nice way to go through this heatwave?”
Supertato: “It sure is, Prickly Pear!”
(Then, they find Pumpkin in the seasonal aisle)
Pumpkin: “Hello, everyone! That lazy river is amazing! This is the best heatwave busting idea ever!”
Broccoli: “I totally agree, Pumpkin!”
(Soon after, they find Banana relaxing in the plant aisle)
Banana: “Sweet lazy river, Tato Team and Grape Kids! Just as cool as yours truly.”
Grape Kid 1: “I know, right?”
(Later on, they find Jalapeño the stunt pepper doing scooter stunts)
Jalapeño: “Awesome! Looking cool back there, Chilli!”
Chilli: “You and me both, Jalapeño!”
(After that, they find Runner Bean doing a power walk)
Runner Bean: “Not as fast as me, but that’s a great idea!”
Carrot: “No worries, Runner Bean!”
(They then spot Raisin coming out of the couch in the furniture aisle where she was organizing a few buttons)
Raisin: “Hi, folks! That sure is smart of you to use this lazy river for a heatwave like this one.”
Grape Kid 2: “Glad you like it as much as we do!”
(After that, they meet Baby Watermelon and her dad in the baby aisle)
Daddy Watermelon: “Such a cool idea, huh, sweetheart?”
Baby Watermelon: “Hey! That’s totally sweet!”
Grape Kid 3: “Sweetest lazy river ever!”
(While the heroes all drift downstream, the camera zooms in on Supertato feeling a little sleepy from the hot air mixing with the cool fizz in the sparkling water)
Supertato: (stretches his arms and yawns) “What a great way to manage this heatwave together. The supermarket’s gonna be nice and cool now thanks to us.” (sighs) “Time for me to relax with the current.” (Supertato leans back and hums a little relaxing song as he goes to sleep. Evil Pea reappears on the fountain and adds ice cold sparkling water into it, eager to execute her cool new plan as the water becomes colder and fizzier while Supertato was too relaxed with the current to notice the sudden change of pace at first) “Ah, this is the life. Good friends, teamwork, relaxation, hydration, picking up speed… Wait, picking up speed?” (he finally wakes up and opens his eyes wide, realizing that the lazy river is picking up speed and becoming colder and fizzier upon being added with ice cold sparkling water) “Muddy spuds! The lazy river’s getting colder and fizzier! Everyone hold on to your rafts!”
(The Tato Team and the Grape Kids hang on tight to their rafts, the super cold water turning the lazy river into a wild river ride as the current catches up to them and makes them race across the aisles)
Evil Pea: “Ha! Serves you right for leaving me out of that lazy river you nitwit fruits and veggies just set up during this heatwave!” (She then hears cheerful laughter and shouts, making her find the Tato Team and the Grape Kids having fun as they go on a friendly river race, much to her surprise) “What’s happening? This was supposed to crash their relaxation and worsen that heatwave, not make it even cooler and more fun!” (Losing her balance, she fell into the fountain and gets swept away by the rushing sparkling water and bumping into various fruits, mint leaves and hibiscus flowers as she accidentally drinks some of the sparkling water before the extreme fizz caused by her eventually settles down, relaxing the Tato Team and the Grape Kids once again as they all laugh together)
Carrot: “What a rush!”
Chilli: “That was just as cool as we were taking it nice and slow at first.”
Tomato: “I was actually pretty brave when this happened.”
Grape Kids: “So were we!”
Broccoli: (giggles) “This was way more bubbly than the last one!”
Supertato: “A lazy river that makes for a great adventure? Well, that’s unexpected, but we were all just lucky to have the best fizzy river ride together!”
(Evil Pea emerges, struggling to swim)
Evil Pea: “Hey! Anyone out there to help me?”
Supertato: (chuckles) “Well, someone’s a little green around the gills. I got you, Pea.”
(He fishes her out of the sparkling water by her cape, soaking wet as he gently placed her on his inflatable island cup holder before she shakes the sparkling water off her)
Evil Pea: “Did you just save me?”
Supertato: “Of course! What are friends for?”
Evil Pea: “If you’re asking whether we’re friends, Supertato, the answer is no and I clearly doubt we’d ever be friends anytime soon.” (She clutches her rumbling stomach) “Oh, slushbags.” (she then lets out a cute belch, which initially surprises the heroes as she covers her mouth and blushes in mild embarrassment) “Oh, uh…” (she sheepishly giggles and gently thumps her chest) “Sorry about that. It was just a little bit more than enough fizz than what my stomach’s used to.” (she sheepishly giggles again)
Supertato: “Hey. It’s okay, Pea. A bubbly stomach is a happy stomach.” (He gently pats and kisses her bubbling stomach, making her stifle another cute belch that she was about to let out before she blushes and giggles once again, but this time out of surprise affection. The same groovy pop rock music we heard from the song earlier returns for a reprise) “Would you like to sing along with us?”
Evil Pea: (shyly) “I guess I know the words.”

Supertato: “That’s exactly what just a little bit of fizz can do: Make a heatwave like this one more fun, cool and relaxing with friends.”
Evil Pea: “I told you, we’re not friends. But I could get used to this. No big deal at all.”
(She leans back, extends her legs, puts her hands behind her head and relaxes, making Supertato softly giggle upon seeing his frenemy relaxed and happy before he gently strokes and kisses her forehead as he then decided to relax with her and flashed his winning smile at the end)
