Remember weeks 1 and 2 where we all loved Frankie and wanted Devin gone? Sooooo much has changed.
Closing statements BBUK
It's the final! Imagine that! Does that mean it's not summer anymore? Anyway, ahead of the final, here are my closing statements about each housemate; their value, their necessity and their worth. HELEN - still vile. She was vile at the start but has proven herself to have at least one conversation a day that doesn't result in her showing how judgemental and bitter she can be. Just because she was shown herself to survive in the house without anyone setting her on fire, it doesn't mean she has improved as a person. She hasn't been on a Journey. She's just had some evenings without alcohol and a few evenings where everyone else couldn't be arsed with her crap. Mustn't win. Too horrid. PAV - ah, poor old Pav. Came in late and used that as a float ever since. I am sure that when amongst his friends he is the life and soul of any party / gathering / kebab shop queue, but they're not there now and he is floundering. We spend so much time watching bb waiting for the revelation "oh THATs why he got in!" And if we are lucky, we get that within the first week or so of his arrival. When it doesn't happen, friends and well wishers reassure us "you haven't seen the best of him/her yet....wait for the real them". We are still waiting for Pav, but I think his ship may have sailed. Mustn't win. Hasn't tried hard enough. Should get a trophy for turning up. CHRIS - He talks quite quietly doesn't he? That's why I think any evil doings have passed me by. Sure, at the start I thought his dry approach and ironic sufferance was amusing. He seemed quite astute and on the point when talking about other housemates but, then if remembered that he isn't the narrator from come dine with me and maybe living with these people while finding them so pointless might just be a bit hard to watch. But then he warmed to some of them and made some pals and then he became The Man Who Was Too Creepy or was he? I don't know. Maybe, but I get the impression there is much he has held back from the others. He hasn't got involved. A really lovely warm friendship would have made him but instead he has kind of sat on the fence and done more observing than anything else. It's a a strategy but not one that brings out the best in anyone.... Mustn't win. Doesn't care enough. CHRISTOPHER - ah.... Christopher. I have found him to be so awkward throughout the series. He wants to be the witty one who delivers diary room gold and he wants to be the 'trooper'. He wants to be the one who makes everything better but he kind of misses the point each time. But for his efforts, I would like to see him do well. He might make a really embarrassing dad one day but I think he would always be on your side. May win. He has put in the effort. Should at least get a sticker. ASH - now, like Helen, just because he has endeared himself to the group, let his hair grow long and shown himself to be functional in a shared house, we mustn't forget his horrible horrible values. I haven't forgotten his stupid comments when Kimberly was working out and his inability to comprehend why he is a twat and his strategies for bonding with the other guys and I haven't moved from this. And why would I? These are the values that his social interactions are built on. I don't care if he has a nice Accent, comes across as easy going , he isn't a force for good in the world. Mustn't win. A rotten soul lays dormant. ASHLEIGH - must win. Demi god.
missing the big brother final to graduate college is not ideal
