"Ugh!" Ryouta turns over, suddenly awake, breathing heavily. He has had a nightmare. He wiggles his shoulders, trying to stretch. It seems he was curled up in fright- or maybe disgust, he thinks, wrinkling his forehead. It is difficult to remember. He was asleep and uncomfortable, though.
He sits up and cuddles himself for a moment. It must be nearly morning anyway, Ryouta feels.
He wonders where Nageki is.
It isn't that he's found Nageki isn't a morning person- it's just that you're more likely to see a greenish-tan flash out of the corner of your eye when you look right at the rising sun. He likes to be by windows when things are happening in the sky.
It hurts Ryouta's eyes, though.
Today is out of the ordinary. Nageki is by the door when Ryouta brings him a bag of seeds. He doesn't look terribly well either.
"I had a little nightmare," Ryouta says impulsively. Nageki looks back at him curiously.
"...So did I." Nageki's admission is a little more stilted. He seems to be saying he doesn't want to discuss it. Ryouta nods slightly, understanding the intent. What he does remember isn't exactly something he wants to verbalize either. It must have been unpleasant for both of them.
In a moment, Ryouta is embracing the other tightly. Nageki is stiff for a moment before relaxing, dipping his head down onto Ryouta's shoulder. Each knows the other won't say how uncomfortable he was. They can share this, though.
