BBrC 4-1D: Inakalang Seminar, Worship Service Pala

06-29-08. Metropolitan Bible Baptist Church. Pamela was told that this was a seminar spearheaded by Ateneo and other partner universities like PUP, with free service back and forth, and free snacks. That there are certificates to be given and that this is credited as a national seminar. Thinking of such good points for the class becoming a MOGC, she grabbed the invitation of the COC Student Council and registered herself and me (JM). On the day of the 'seminar', where the assembly was at COC, jeepneys (labeled with the name PUP and a number) arrived by past 8am and brought the COC students (80 registered, but I wasn't able to make an estimate of the actual number) to the Church. After filling up the attendance sheets, we were ushered inside where we were instructed to take off our footwear. Also, the boys were separately seated from the girls. The pastor was no other than Congressman Benny Abante, Jr. He is the senior pastor of the said church. His daughter Princess, from the National Youth Commision, elaborated on the youth and the Youth Alive.

Please support the latest stint of BBrC159 guy (also a finalist in Mr. COC 2007) Mr. Vernon Carlo Parreño as he completes the Majestic 12 of this year's COC Idol, the singing contest of PUP College of Communication's premier chorale, the COC Ensemble. BBrC 4-1D: PUP Mabini Awards Meeting

09-09-08. Public Affairs Office. Meeting of the class for the event which we will organize as part of our requirement in Dr. Pasumbal's subject, Broadcast Relations & Promotion, in which we should be able to pitch the event to the media and gain exposure for the university. Initial Target Event Date: October 30, 2008 UPDATE (as of October 2008): The PUP Mabini Awards for Mass Media project proposal made by the class was presented to the Executive Committee Meeting of PUP, and they praised the proposal. But the bad news is, we will not be the ones to impose the project; the concept was only adopted. In fact, they added other categories aside from mass media like good governance, etc. Right now, the new requirement of Dr. Pasumbal for the subject is to disseminate the PUPCET information to schools/print/TV/radio via announcements/press release/broadcast release.
