After spending over a decade in Azkaban and living through two wars, the great Sirius Black has been better. In fact, if he’s being totally honest, he’s not fine at all. There are certain things that won’t let him go, and others that won’t … function like they used to.
Remus convinces him to see a Healer.

“Name’s Sirius Black,” he offered, hoping his rising panic didn’t show, and that he instead kept up an air of disinterest and the promise of potential danger alike.
He was stared at for another few, long seconds and almost thought about just turning around and leaving and telling Remus they couldn’t do anything, what a shame, but maybe if he just ate enough chocolate and read enough of his old favorite books and heard enough stories about the good ol’ times his brain would just slot right back into place and everything would be fine.
What a coward he’d become.
