Big ICBC GLP Update: The 2nd Class 5 Road Test is Officially Being Removed in BC! 🚗💨

Major news for B.C. drivers! Starting October 19, 2026, ICBC is officially ending the second road test under the updated B.C. Graduated Licensing Program (GLP).

Here’s how the transition works: 🪨 Old System: Class 7 "N" drivers had to pass a second practical road test to earn a full Class 5 licence. ☁️ New System: Eligible drivers will undergo an automatic Driving Record Assessment followed by a 12-month zero-alcohol/drug restriction period.
