ABO grouping is also something done in based on Blood types. Funfact I've read on the Internet that in Korea I think (if its wrong please let me know) Like blood groups have relationship to personality types.
Also if you're a bit curious about biology like how can an alpha have an omega child. It's not that hard a person of blood group A can have a child of O or A. It was my favourite topic in biology.
Basically you inherit from two people male / female each of them will give thier kid one of their own pair and that has one dominant (the expressive) and one recessive(the hidden) character or both same characters.
That way the kids ABO will be decided.
