So there have been some complaints lately. First, I want to say if you are unhappy with content here at British Detectives, please contact me and your subscription fee will be returned.

Today the complaint is about gifs. Yes. Complaining about gifs on Tumblr. 

I will tell you a story about the family pool we used to attend when the three little British Detectives were tiny. There was an older woman who would stand in the low end, where the children played. She would read a book. And, when very small children would play and splash nearby, she would be very annoyed when her book got wet. Because it’s perfectly reasonable to attend a family pool, stand in the water where children are playing AND expect to read and stay bone dry. Right?

Foyle’s War: The Eternity Ring (2013)

Hi there followers. I have a small request. The oldest Little British Detective is not little anymore. Sigh. He has an interest in applying to colleges in the UK. He’s a history/political science kind of kid with a love of technical theatre. 

Any suggestions? And yes, I don’t want him to go to Oxford. Too murdery.

I am in love with your blog because it is so refreshingly versatile and honest. And it often makes me go and rewatch some of my favourites, which is also great :) If you don't mind me asking: what is your favourite Lewis or Hathaway comeback? (since I'm binge-watching it rn)

Well, since I blog about detectives that are (I’m quoting here)  “kinda old, kinda bald and kinda fat” I’m a bit surprised to hear my work called versatile. I guess we could say it fills a niche? (A very, very small niche.) Anyway, it’s hard to choose a favorite Lewis or Hathaway comeback, but this is one from the final season that I like. I think it nicely sums up Kevin Whately’s 30 years as Robbie Lewis. I also love Lozza’s snark. Anyway, thanks for writing!

seriously thank you so much for persistently brainwashing unsuspecting visitors of this blog with Foyle gifs because I'm so, so addicted to the show right now and it makes me so happy <3 sorry for spamming you with messages, I'm just so happy :D

You've not posted any detectives without their shirts in a long time and I would really like some more. Thank you.

This is a fair assessment and for that I apologize. I believe we all need more Shirtless Detectives on our dash. I will try to fix this tomorrow.
