Black Desert Online has a lot of really interesting lore, but you have to SEARCH for it. And if you're playing the game in English a lot of the dialogue can be difficult to make sense of. (I'm just assuming it's easier to understand in Korean but I have no way of confirming that.)
With that said, they stepped it up so much with Deadeye that it's almost jarring. I understand her more than any other NPC in this entire game, and I have a lot of feelings about her being pulled into another world by the promise of finding her long lost brother, constantly experiencing the mother of all culture shocks, feeling like an outsider in a world she may never be able to leave, only to get told by Marni, "yeah, he's here. in the past."
I would have started biting people.
